Characters: Faith & Joseph Seed

Now that deputy Hudson, Marshall Vergil, and Eli have been contained to their respective camps, the peggies remain on the hunt for the Judge. Joseph is becoming impatient as the more peggies the Judge takes down. Each week John and Jacob send out men on the hunt for the judge while Faith and Joseph remain behind to ease the minds of their followers while they prepare for the collapse.

Joseph trains men and women as his disciples to go out and recruit as many families as they can to save them before the collapse. If they fail to recruit people they are to raid the town for supplies to bring back to the bunker.

Faith looks after and teaches the youngest children of their followers by educating them on the book of Joseph. When allowed, she brings the children to Joseph's sermons and lets them listen to his sermons and pray with him.

John handles the food supply and farming process to ensure they'll have enough food during the time they'll have to wait out the collapse in the bunker. In the meantime taking care of his female followers who he keeps close, including deputy Hudson. Neither of them get along with the other but Hudson does not have much of a choice being surrounded by peggies.

Jacob takes care of the hunting and military training of the peggies. He makes sure to start teaching young followers how to hunt out on their own if they are caught staying from their hunting party. Jacob finds particular favor with a young girl named Hannah and a young boy named Abel. He decides to take both children in as his underlings as they've shown the most promise out of all the children being trained at the camp.

One day while out on a trip with the children, Faith gets spotted bathing alone in the lake by one of the male peggies. They caught a glimpse of her back scarred with burns and deep cuts of sin written across it. They approach her about it and drag her back to Joseph's church during his sermon where they exposed that Faith has been riddled with sins and she is to be expelled from the camp. Just as John teaches, the men plead with Joseph that they need to cut the sin out from Faith if she claims to be a follower. Joseph sends the men away to deal with the matter himself before covering Faith with a blanket and injecting her with a shot to put her to sleep. Joseph asks for her to be taken to John's camp for the remainder of the sermon. Once the sermon is over he calls in the men who found Faith in the lake and bounds them to wooden crosses out in the forest. He leaves them there to suffer punishment for looking at Faith and shaming her in front of everyone. He lets them suffer the same pain they forced on her, being tied to crosses in the woods without food for a night. When Joseph returns for Faith at John's camp, he finds Faith talking with deputy Hudson. John confessed to Joseph that he developed feelings for Joey and ultimately wanted her to feel comfortable enough for her to want to stay. John insisted Faith talk with her as Faith is more gentle when it comes to talking with people. Joseph respects John for his decision and lets them talk before he takes Faith back to the church with him. Joseph reminds Faith that she's the chosen one to be his wife and bear his children. If he is to remain faithful, he must marry her soon before God sends more women to the camp to tempt him. Faith agrees to his request and asks that they marry at sunset during a full moon. Faith says that doing this it will light the flames of hope for them as the collapse approaches near with three months remaining to prepare the peggies to survive in the bunkers.
