♥ chanyoung had it all. a loving father, mother and older sister. he had it all. so what went wrong exactly? chanyoung was a seoul boy through and through. he was the yoon family's pride and joy. he was a straight-A student who excelled in academics and the arts throughout his schooling years. he was the perfect example of an ideal child. an ideal child that would come soon come to break under the immense pressure behind closed doors.

behind closed doors, his family was far from loving. from constant gaslighting to even frequent fights, chanyoung lived in hell. every day he wished for a better life. for a better future. he wished and wished and wished— but his prayers were never heard. soon came the days of exhaustion, numbness and stress. soon came the eventful day when chanyoung snapped. both his sister and father were out fetching groceries, and chanyoung was stuck at home with his mother. he was stuck at home prepping for dinner, where eventual guests would be joining the family. he was left with dicing the carrots for the dish they would be serving later, kimbap. he diced and diced— diced as his mother started nitpicking everything about him; diced as he clenched the sharp knife in his hand; diced until he was in a fit of rage and slashed the knife at his mother. the next thing he knew, he was on the last bus leaving the city. leaving his life behind.
