Kim Chaewon, born on a cold night in the month of August, had a pretty secluded childhood. Not much is known about her, except that her mother was a retired figure skater and her father was a botanist who specialized in growing blue, winter roses. She also had a brother who died at the age of 11 due to drowning— an accident that also involved her— on a snowy December.
As far as sources had provided, while the family was spending a vacation in their ancestral home, an afternoon of skating in the frozen lake nearby resulted with both Kim siblings falling into a hole that 'came out of nowhere'. And while they were able to pull both children out, the oldest of the two had died on their way to the hospital while Chaewon remained unconscious for an entire week.
Months after that, the couple decided to move to Massachusetts with their youngest— only to come back 12 years later for Kim Chaewon to start her figure skating career.

It's just as convoluted as her death; that is what Jadis— Chaewon thinks. Being born with the blood of Adam running in her veins in Fabletown, she didn't remember who she truly was until that fateful day; which is why it plagues her so whenever she finds herself staring in front of this boy's portrait at the manor's living room, smiling down at her as if it's comforting her from the inner turmoil that eats away at her every second of the day.
It wasn't even that hard to put two and two together. Just as the Pevensies exist outside of the book, so did the bloodline that branched out to her father's side of the family. And what exactly do they need to resurrect the Queen of Narnia? The blood of Adam. The same blood that was lying dormant inside her— one that she'd accidentally ingested when Kim Hyungwon tried to save her before his demise in that blasted, frozen lake. It simply activated her consciousness, though; a a caution that she'll forever be cursed not only in the storybook, but also the one she's living in now.

Still, she cannot separate herself from the ice even though it reminded her of her brother. This was where she was most familiar; where she truly belonged. But life, cruel as it is, would find its way to make an irony of her situation. Like a her old story in the book, odds were never in her favor.
Vain as she is, Chaewon is adamant about controlling the ice the way she likes it. Luckily for her, Mrs. Kim was more than happy to indulge the youngest with her endeavors. It only strengthened her resolve, too, since it's always been Hyungwon's dream to skate with Chaewon— this being the excuse that she is not afraid of using in her arsenal to get what she wants. (It does pain her thinking about it whenever she's alone at night.)
Now, at the age of 22, with her trophies and medals displayed just beneath her brother's portrait, she continues to live in Fabletown like she used to: Kim Chaewon, just a normal girl, but the White Witch of the Ice.

Yet, it gets hard when she remembers the way her mother's hug was as warm as the first brush of spring on her skin, compared to the emptiness that Aslan left her in when he killed her so vividly. Still, she was Jadis first, the Queen of Narnia that everyone feared. Who she was— is— in front of her parents will never be the Chaewon that the others see.
