Kim Mingyu — born in April 6, 1997 is the eldest child and the only son of Kim Kwangmin. He attended Dandelion Elementary School up to Dandelion High School, when he met Yihyun, his best friend. His sister got lost on their wintertime trip to Jeju, leading them to conduct a hunt in Dandelion.

The shocking information drove Mingyu to relocate to Seoul to attend college, separating him from his best buddy and his amiable neighbor, Hyejoo, with whom he regularly rides a bicycle to get some fresh air. While still looking for his sister, he made the decision to pursue a degree in business administration to support his father's company.

After learning that his sister had been missing for a long time and that his father had died suddenly of a heart attack before the New Year, Mingyu took over as the CEO of Kim Entertainment. At the age of 25, he already owns a huge company handling successful actor Johnny Suh and Brian Kang’s band, Day5 along with Love Pattranite as their established model.
