Heaven is boring... At least for inari.

Being a popular deity has more disadvantages, but that was the least of her worries. It's not like she cares what they think. She is powerful and influential enough that just watching from above bores her. In heaven, she was always a hot topic, the point of envy due to the number of worshipers she has. Well, she can't blame them. She does bring prosperity and success.

When she finally decided to go to the mortal realm, inari took different kinds of vessels from young to old. However, one girl had a huge impact on her. This girl found herself in one of inari's shrines when she ran away from the orphanage. At the age of 5, shuhua, saw inari loafing around, awed at the beauty of the deity in front of her. And then she cried. Without any exchange of words, inari cradles the frail child in her arms. At that moment, that was the first time inari shed a tear for a human as the body loses its color before she takes it over.

As the sun rose on the shrine, inari, now shuhua, opens her eyes and basks in the rays. She looks up at the sky and smiles, saying thank you to shuhua who gave up her soul and body to a deity whom she never knew, but because she wanted to surrender her life, she gave her body to the goddess, who can use it more than she could.

Inari whispered and looked at the thin hands she has now. For the sunrise symbolizes her new life and new identity, “Hinode...”.
