second-born son, inheritor of great genetics and heir apparent to nothing else. taeyang has always struggled with dreams of greatness and no way to actualize them. or perhaps a lack of drive to do so. he wanted to be a singer, then a guitar player in a band, and by the time he actually got his break it was as a dancer.
even that didn't come easy. he didn't begin dancing until high school, and by then he was already a gawky teen. his bullies said he looked like a giraffe attempting to dance (but failing). the only rational thing to do was to put every ounce of energy and minute of the day into dancing until his legs gave up on him.
now at twenty-six, he's had only a couple of music show wins with his group, a stunning defeat on kingdom, a few collab stages, and three musical theater roles to his name. it's not what most idols aspire to, and certainly not those who gave up their teenage years and early twenties in pursuit of the dream, maybe he should have become a florist instead. but what else does a cheetah hybrid do?

i had hoped for love, but never thought i would find it when, where, or how i did. if i had more words perhaps i could figure out how to put my feelings for this man into them. i know i've found a life partner in him. i would even dare to call him my twin flame.
funny that i find myself yearning for a life by his side. it isn't just the thought of passion or need. i'll be a very happy man just to walk beside him, share glasses of wine at night, keep a home together, and just laugh and smile and embrace each moment.
