Raised within the opulent confines of their ancestral estate, Mackenzie has led a sheltered and privileged life, shielded from the hardships and struggles of the outside world. While her parents were wealthy and belonged to the high society, they prioritised her happiness and safety above all else. They didn't impose strict upper-class expectations on her and instead allowed her to freely indulge in her imagination. She'd spend her days playing make believe and running freely around the estate. 

 

Her innocence combined with her propensity for daydreaming and dwelling in her own world, set her apart from her peers. These traits, more so as she started to grow older, were often perceived with a mixture of curiosity and concern, but among her relatives they were seen as disdainful. She is pure of heart and has a genuine belief in the inherent goodness of individuals. Which can be seen as both a strength and a vulnerability, as it can leave her susceptible to manipulation and deceit. 

 

Due to her parents' shielding and lack of experience, Mackenzie struggles to grasp the full complexities and nuances that surround the political web between vampires and witches. However, the tales of romance, adventure and discovery that were hidden in the corners of her family's extensive library have long since sparked a longing and curiosity of not just life outside the confines of her lovely home, but also the life that exists above it.
