As a child of the night, Choi San's life has been a complicated one, to say the very least. Having dealt with some of the most heartbreaking moments that a being could endure, including love and loss, betrayal, and torture, San had given up hope of a brighter future. That is, until one day, a young boy with soft ears and a furry tail stumbled his way into the vampire's cold arms and gave him something worth living for.

But the past never dies...

San cannot remember his humanity. The earliest year he remembers is 1847 as a Purebred vampire. He tries to forget his youth since he was rumored to be part of lost royalty. He grew under the lights of Busan in a tight-knit coven but he was lured in by the joys of human life. He would often dance under the lights and run away to explore but that would soon lead to the catalyst of his life changing. A beautiful human girl would be his first love and the first heartbreak. As much as he admired the sweet lass, the coven was slowly showing their colours and cursed him; no noble shall ever tarnish their kind with a dirty human. In despiration, he tried to cast the coven aside and run away with her but they were steps ahead. Forced to watch, San saw the life drain away from her eyes as the innocent love was slaughtered among many others. The massacre would live in history but the crimes unsolved. By humans that is. San made it his life's mission to avenge the coven who destroyed him by doing the same; saving his first taste of blood to be theirs as a form of deadly revenge. Since that day, San could rewrite his story and soon travelled the world over the years; witnessing history unfold; the Moulin Rouge, the Fires of London and the long journey to modern day. Returning to Seoul, San planned to take his stories and forge them into fiction but with nowhere to go, he relied on an old friend, Seonghwa, to stay. That was where he realised that love was more than he expected... in the most wonderful of ways...
