brief background

junhyung had been in the circus up until he was about 12 years old; it was the only life he had every known. he didn't exactly mind it but he knew there had to be something better than being locked in cages and forced to perform every night, and occasionally bare the brunt of ring master's wrath when things didn't go his way. it came to a breaking point when the ring master was thinking of selling him off to exotic pet owners who were known to abuse and experiment on their pets. junhyung decided that night to escape. he ran for days after; knowing the ring master would be after him because he was the only sugar glider in the act, and brought in a good amount of cash flow. eventually, he found he refuge in a little barn he thought was abandoned and collapsed in exhaustion. through kindess of a young boy around his age, he was able to recuperate and fled once more. eventually, he reached a moderately sized city and tried to get back on his feet. at 27 now, he's moved to the italian country side and hopes to settle into this life after some rather tough years on his own. he's always done odd jobs to make ends meet, never having known what he was truly good at besides manual labor, but he's managed to score a part time at one of the flower shops. admittedly, he doesn't know much about flowers but it's grateful for the job and for the quiet life he hopes to lead.
