Kyungsoo and his girlfriend went thick and thin together. They set up a cafe at first until it became a famous chain business. They lived happily and always together through everything. She was the one accepting him for who and what he is. How awkward he is. How things always comes out in the wrong way and makes everything worse. How he was so bad with social skills that he was so frustrated about it all the time. not to mention how he was also a waterbender. He had been an outcast because of it. Although he rarely used his power, around her, he was never shy about it. Not when she looked at him with wonder whenever he waterbend. She was the person he loved and promised to protect her with everything he had.
One day, they decided to go cruising together. He had even planned it. Everything would be perfect for them. That's when he popped the question and she said 'yes.' He remembered that it was the happiest moment in his life. However, who would have thought that it would also the most heartbreaking moment too. That night, the ship caught in the worst storm ever known. It capsized in the middle of the night. The next thing he knew they're underwater. For the first time he used his utmost power to fight against the nature, to save her. However, he lost his grip on her and he was swimming towards her, trying to catch her. The next thing he knew was black. He didn't know what happened but when brightness finally came to his view, he had lost her. The coldness that he felt on his hand was unfamiliar. He cried and cried, from wailing to a sob but he knew, nothing could bring her back. He hated himself and his power for not being able to save her.

he was still the same awkward guy. It's just that it was hard for him to open up and it was only make worse with how he  was originally bad with social skills. He spoke more with action than words. 
He opened up a cafe here, to stay to his root and also to reminisce about her from time to time. Guilt was still there but was unspoken. The beach had become second nature to him. It's love hate relationship. he would blame the sea for taking his loved one away but also there to reminisce about his loved one, the time before the happiness sunk in the depth of the sea. 
he hoped one day he could move on from the pain and properly let go and move on. He might be forever be alone or maybe he could find someone but each day, he was fighting to stay alive and find the meaning behind the life that wasn't lost and sunk into the deep of sea along with his love.
