Sweet and kind to a fault, she is almost always in a pleasant mood. She prefers to see things on the bright side and stay optimistic in the face of difficulties. Having spent so much of her life so far inside, she is eager for adventure and to see the world outside the manor she calls home.

 

She can be incredibly naive because of her lack of socialization and being so isolated from the city, which can lead her into trouble sometimes with trusting the wrong people. She sees every moment as something new and beautiful, and she wants to fill her life with as many wonderful memories as she can.

Her late husband was a master doll maker, and he created a beautiful doll for his wife. His wife loved this doll deeply, and it was kept on a stand just next to her bed where she would wish it a goodnight every night before she slept. But fate is fickle, and she was struck and killed by a drunk driver on her way home one night. Her husband was left heartbroken, and his daughters turned against him. They only cared for his money, and when he stopped giving it to them they turned their backs on him completely. In his grief and loneliness he struck a deal with a being of great magic. His wife’s favorite doll was gifted life, but the doll required blood to stay alive. If it did not feed, it would turn back into a doll again.

 

So the man kept his pretty doll fed, doted on her, and gave her everything she could ever want inside the walls of the manor. Paranoia kept him from allowing her outside, too afraid something would happen to her and she would never come home again. So YooA lifted in the manor, and as the doll maker grew older his mind began to slip. Soon he couldn’t recognize YooA from his wife, and she took up the roll of his wife and caretaker for years until he passed away. He left his estate and all his money to her. His daughters were furious when they found out and they’re trying to contest the will to get the money they feel they were owed. It’s an ongoing legal battle but YooA just wants to live her life now that she’s finally allowed outside..
