Idol Trainee.

Who Am I?

Born into a family of accomplished musicians, Sage was immersed in a world of melodies from a young age. However, unlike his prodigious siblings, Sage struggled to find his own rhythm. From his early years, Sage was drawn to music. He strummed the guitar and sang along, even though his voice often cracked and his fingers fumbled over the strings. His parents supported his endeavors, but as they watched his siblings excel effortlessly, they began to question if Sage had what it took to succeed. As he grew older, Sage's passion only deepened. He poured his heart into practicing the guitar, dancing in front of the mirror, and writing lyrics that resonated with his own struggles.

From his earliest memories, Sage's parents cast a towering shadow over his life. As celebrated musicians, their legacy was both a blessing and a curse. Under their unwavering gaze, the boundaries of his own identity were often blurred. Despite his efforts, he often fell short of the standards set by his family. His parents' skepticism grew, and the pressure to prove himself mounted.

His siblings rarely acknowledged his aspirations. Lost in their own worlds of fame and success, they were too consumed by their own careers to notice their younger brother's dreams. Sage’s attempts to join in their musical endeavors were met with indifference, leaving him feeling like a discordant note in a harmonious composition. This culminated in Sage truly doubting if he could ever measure up to even a crumb of their ambitions.

Life took a downward turn for the boy. Enrolled in the same private academy as his siblings, Sage faced relentless comparisons from teachers. Classmates who innocently asked about his accomplished siblings unwittingly deepened his wounds. This pushed him further into isolation, avoiding social interactions and events, but this isolation provided more time to focus on his music.

When Sage finally mustered the courage to audition for Kpop agencies, he encountered polite rejections and lukewarm feedback. The industry's ruthlessness was inescapable, and he was told he lacked the innate talent of a prodigy. Many agencies hesitated to offer him contracts, concerned about exploiting his family name. Some saw him as a marketing opportunity rather than nurturing his genuine potential. Sage's parents' frustrations grew, leading him to be shipped off to Washington, far from the music industry's pressures

Undeterred, Sage pursued a different path. He took up part-time jobs to fund singing lessons, dance classes, and vocal coaching. While his siblings basked in the limelight, he honed his craft in the quiet corners of his small bedroom. With each setback, his determination grew stronger. He channeled his frustration into his music, crafting compositions that spoke to his experiences. Each rejection fueled his determination to forge his own path.

His new home in Washington allowed him to foster this new direction. The scenery was different, the people more relatable. Despite his antisocial nature, university helped him open up. He found a group of musicians on campus, started enjoying parties, and even experienced his first taste of love. These experiences made him more human and helped him connect with his music.

A call from a classmate about auditions in the area led Sage to try again. As he entered the audition room, his heart raced with anticipation and nerves. The judges observed him closely, but this time he felt hope. His performance, though not ideal, carried a sincerity that resonated deeply. He was offered a trainee contract, marking a recognition of his journey and a validation of his hard work. With his acceptance into the agency, Sage's story took a new chapter. It was time to get to work.
