General Information.
Dark Link is the evil reflection of Link. He is one of the most enigmatic enemy characters in the The Legend of Zelda series, usually appearing with no backstory and no dialogue, although it is implied on numerous occasions to be merely constructed of shadow magic. Dark Link is more than just a mere battle against a monster for Link, but a battle against himself, as the young hero has to face his own strength turned against him. Because of this, Dark Link is often the ultimate challenge. He is faced either as the final boss of optional challenges such as the Palace of the Four Sword and Take 'Em All On! in A Link to the Past and Spirit Tracks, respectively.
Characteristics.
As Link's doppelgänger, Dark Link bears a resemblance to the Link of whichever game he appears in. He wears the same clothing as Link: a tunic and a long, floppy cap, though the similarities to Link end there. His entire outfit is black or dark gray instead of green. Moreover, his hair is usually either a shadowy black or a dark gray. Dark Link tends to be left-handed like Link. However, in some appearances (particularly when multiple copies of him appear), he has been shown to be ambidextrous. Another notable feature is his red eyes, which are usually the only prominent feature against his dark visage.
Unique Roleplay Choices.
Within these confines however the admin behind this version has decided to take a semi-modern take closer to his counterpart, in the middle of being taken to this new world Dark Link (Also known as Shadow Link)  has lightened up his skin considerably, also borrowing a Yiga outfit, though its unclear if this was simply due to the rebuilt world confusing one and the other for a closer brotherly resemblance or a neat little nod to breath of the wild's rival stature.
His voice while its certainly deeper than his counterpart isn't as demonic sounding as before, imagine a slightly older sounding version with a husked aftertone.
Relationships.
While there is always going to be a rivalry there, it seems that whatever was seen as a simple on sight battle has changed to that of a competition between swordsmen, a simple case of anything you can do I can do better. This doesn't mean that if push didn't come to shove, Dark won't lend a hand every so often, or even sit with/share some of his insight with his counterpart, even though he will never, ever admit it publically! The only exception to his loyalty to the battle is if Link ever decided to try and stand back up to Ganon, that sort of thing isn't interesting to him these days, more content to do his own thing.  (More to be added the further one develops.)
