Background:

Eldest of three daughters, took it upon herself to help her grieving mother to keep their fish stall business going.

Father- a boatman who one day came home out of wits and couldn't recognise his previous life. Iris' suspicion is that the merfolks cursed her father.

Mother - owns a fish stall, partially managing it when Iris is out on the sea, seeking for anything to sell.
