When the universe was still dust and gas, and the first stars had yet to form, it was already there.
The Unknown.
And from the Unknown came the Unknowable; creatures of epic proportions that drifted in the openness of space, and watched as gravity began to take hold. These beings were there at the beginning and saw the universe unfold, and they will be there at the end when it winks out of existence.
Of these primordials there was one that saw enough of the universe that it had grown tired of how boring it had become.
Floating within the grasp of a star cluster it wondered what it could do to sate its endless curiosity. And then it heard; from within the spiral of light and gas, the voices of a planet teeming with life.
The Unknown.

Na Jaemin the human does not exist on paper, for he was never truly human in the first place. That primordial being shrunk itself down into a space smaller than it had ever been before, and took the shape of the most dominant creature on a planet they called Earth.
It became he and he was endlessly intrigued by Earth and all of its creatures.
For centuries Jaemin traveled the planet. At first he maintained a human form so he would not destroy Earth as soon as he touched down; then it became necessary when the Old Gods ruled that anything non-human had to stay hidden from those small, little beings, lest they be erased from the current timeline.
Jaemin absorbed knowledge and kept it within himself. He tasted wavelengths of colored light, he experienced pressures as great as a star, he swallowed entire civilizations; for years and years and years, a length of time that most creatures would marvel at, and it felt like mere minutes to him.
He knew his enjoyment wouldn't last. The Earth was not infinite, and while the universe was still expanding it was at a rate so slow that he would have to wait millennia for something interesting to happen.
Jaemin had run out of the Unknown once more and was again utterly bored.

It's hard to surprise something like Jaemin. He is old and he has seen everything his universe has to offer.

『 what it is 』
An eldritch horror is said to be the alien, the weird, the inconceivable, the other; existing beyond human comprehension and outside of the natural laws of the universe. Many humans say that seeing the true form of something eldritch will drive one mad for the rest of their short existence.
There isn't truly a name for what Jaemin is and so he uses many that have been given to his kind over the course of time: eldritch, the Unknown, primordials, etc. As for his own personal name, his kind have no need for them and so he does not have one; the reason he goes by "Jaemin" is to blend in with human society, since he can't exactly go around introducing himself as Nameless without attracting attention.

Jaemin feels no guilt for his diet. He'll gladly eat anything that lives and breathes if he's hungry and they look tasty enough. This is how you find him, snacking away on some creature's leg, mouth full of sharp teeth and clothes covered in blood and other substances. He turns illuminated eyes onto you and asks if you're also here for dinner - as something on his menu. You do your best to make a case for why he shouldn't eat you.

Though he claims to know everything about his previous world (and by extension several other topics such as: humans, space, matter, animalia, etc.) you argue that Jaemin doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. While he could easily glean this information through reading your mind, you also argue that it would be cheating. He's older than dust and you tell him to take things slow, live a bit different, and get to know you day by day - and have him share himself with you too (in a safe way that doesn't involving putting your brain in danger).

POV & Length: I only use 3rdPOV. My replies can vary in length from semi to para to novella. I do my best to mirror, but don't feel pressured to do the same as long as you give me something I can work with.
Note: Attempting to get back into using detailed 1stPOV, though 3rdPOV is still preferred.
Reply Speed: Just going to be upfront and say I'm a slow replier. Sometimes I can reply right away, but more often than not it might take me a day or two. If you prefer a faster pace I may not be the best writing partner.
Plotting & Winging: I prefer plotting since it gives me more confidence in my threads, but I am open to winging as well (and sometimes prefer it when my brain is being finicky). Sometimes I post random starters, so if they haven't been claimed by someone else feel free to respond!
