section : the cursed nurse
Melanie Martinez was once a promising young nurse working at the local hospital in the nearby town. Compassionate and dedicated to her patients, Melanie was known for her unwavering commitment to healing and her gentle bedside manner. However, all of that changed when she was called to attend to an emergency at Havenwood Manor one fateful night.

Arriving at the mansion, Melanie found herself confronted with a scene of unimaginable horror as she witnessed the aftermath of a brutal massacre. The guests of Havenwood Manor had been slaughtered in cold blood by a mysterious assailant, leaving behind a trail of blood and carnage in their wake. Desperate to help the survivors, Melanie rushed to their aid, only to find herself face to face with the killer.

In a moment of sheer terror, Melanie was struck down by the killer's blade, her life slipping away as darkness closed in around her. But instead of finding peace in death, Melanie was cursed to wander the halls of the Manor for all eternity, trapped in a nightmarish limbo between life and death. Her body twisted and contorted by the curse, she now roams the corridors of the mansion as a twisted reflection of her former self, her once-kind eyes now empty and soulless, her movements jerky and unnatural.

Driven by an instinct to seek out the living and drag them into the darkness, Melanie acts as a relentless harbinger of death, her presence bringing the imminent arrival of unspeakable horrors. Despite her cursed existence, fragments of Melanie's former self remain buried deep within her tortured psyche, fleeting moments of clarity and remorse surfaces amidst the chaos and bloodshed as she struggles to break free from the curse that binds her to Havenwood Manor's cursed halls.

She is a Nightmare. The embodiment of death and decay, of the fear of death. Those who have said they've seen her moving down the hallway of Nightmares, swore that they had seen Death. They trembled in fear and had painful visions of their own death, as she stumbled towards them.

But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of reprobating pleasure and extolling pain arose. To do so, I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful.

Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure.
