Cole was once a respected and dutiful angel in the celestial hierarchy, known for his unwavering dedication to upholding justice. However, as he witnessed the relentless punishment of sinners in Hell, he began to question the morality of such actions. Despite warnings from his fellow angels, Cole couldn't shake the belief that every soul deserved a chance at redemption, regardless of past transgressions.

Cole witnessed one of the very first brutal exterminations of souls in Hell by the exorcists that were sent by the angelic council. Unable to just stand by and watch, Cole intervened, attemping to stop the massacre and plead for mercy on behalf of the sinners. His actions and betrayal were met with a swift and violent retribution from his fellow angels. He had refused to move out of the way of a sinner, trying to protect him from the massacre, and a fellow angel swung down his angelic blade. The blade sliced through Cole's left wing, leaving him unable to fly. He was sure that the angel would have defiled his body more if given the chance, had the other angels not been called back to Heaven.

The stump where his wing once extended from his back is a raw and jagged wound. Scars crisscross the exposed flesh, bearing witness to the violent act that robbed him of his celestial heritage. This disfigurement was a reminder of the angel that cast him out of Heaven. Anger, raw and untamed, surged through Cole's veins. It threatened to swallow him whole. How dare they, he thought, his fists clenched in rage, how dare they cast him out, destroy his wing and leave him to suffer in Hell while they remained in their ivory towers, untouched by the suffering they brought. All because he dared question them. All because he believed all souls should be given the chance to be redeemed.

Beneath the sea of anger inside him, another emotion stirred - revenge. They must pay for what they have done to him. They must pay for what they've done to the countless souls who were exterminated that day. They must suffer like he suffered, like all those poor souls suffered. A small voice whispered in the back of his mind that was tinged with doubt and uncertainty - is this truly what you want? Is this the path you really want to head down on?

For a moment, Cole hesitated, his resolve faltering as he looked up at the sky. Cole shook the thoughts from his head. They will pay for what they have done to him and when the time comes, they will know the full extent of his wrath..
