San was born into poverty at a young age and had to work his way up from the bottom he achieved high grades, and was the first person in his family in 40 years to finish high school in Detriot. He was born in Gangnam, but his family moved to Detroit for his father's job and that is where he fell in love with music and learning how to make it as well.
