Kris has a long story here. he was the one who built this university and made it how it is today. though its surely not the same before and he missed the old times, but he is still thankful the school is standing. 
Kris had been through too much here, he fell in love with a student, almost got married....but they never got there...maybe it just wasnt the right one. he will miss him, he always misses him but if that person had let go....he had no choice but to do the same as the other did. he wanted the pain to stop.

Kris isnt exactly what you might call the most out going person ever. he is mostly quiet and wont answer anything till he is asked something. he had buried himself in work for sure and he needs a bit of motivation as his was killed a while back...
life can be quite cruel sometimes.
