I became a caretaker because I personally know what it's like to be raised in an environment where you feel like no one cares about you, no one holds you when you cry, no one helps when you're sick. I myself wasn't an orphan, but I might as well have been. My parents were broken, my mother an alcoholic, and my father a drug addict.
I believe my job is to help those who were even less fortunate than myself, if it makes even a little difference, it helps.
