ღ The Past

        Before she was the girl dancing in a pretty gown at the Masquerade Ball, Lee Jihyun was just a

        low class peasant dreaming to live in the castle and spending her days in luxury. Dreams were hopeless,

        dreams were only things that made people delusional. That's what her father told her. Jihyun was a twenty-two

        year old cottager who lived with her father and younger sister. Her mother died after the second child birth, leaving 

        Jihyun to take over the role as the main cottager of the house while her father and younger sister worked on the farmland.

        Life as a peasant wasn't easy. Jihyun's father taught her to never trust anyone too easily. The world was a dangerous place if you

        were too naive. Thus, Jihyun was a reserved and secretive girl. She always kept eyes on the back of her head and never let anyone into her heart.

♔ The Present

     They only see a smile behind that mask. Her name is Qri. Nobody knows who she is, nobody cares. 

        And she'd rather keep it that way. She is a mute beauty dancing in the castle, smiling because that's the

        only emotion she'll show. Qri stays locked up in her guest room most of the time and only shows up when necessary.

        She'll only talk to people if she feels safe around them. If not, she'll disappear and wander around until she finds a place in the castle.

        A place where she can watch instead of being watched. Because that's what she does. If you turn your head, don't be surprised if you see her staring back.
