Kim Heechul is a free soul, born and raised in a rich household with a long family tree. The last name 'Kim' belonged to a third of South Korea's population, but his family was special. His late ancestors had been cousins to the emperor, gaining wealth and power throughout his reign. They suffered minor losses during the Korean war, but due to extensive connections 90% of their treasures were kept safe and sound.

He was raised in a house as large as a palace, servants following him everywhere, always ready to do his bidding. He had an elder brother however, so he was exempt from the burden of being the heir. He studies hard, works hard in everything he does but likes to play just as much. With a doting brother and parents, he was pampered all his life. Kim Heechul has no knowledge about 'the real world' and lives happily in his fairytale where bad things don't exist. The staff at his house often argue about whether he is innocent, or just an oblivious fool.
