Rei Miyamoto (宮本麗, Miyamoto Rei) is a classmate and childhood friend of Takashi Komuro, and they've known each other since kindergarten. She is also a protagonist of the story, next to Takashi Komuro and Saeko Busujima. Rei is a member of the Sojutsu club, and her combat skills have proven to be a strong asset to the group. She fights with a spear made from a broomstick, but, later in the story, she uses a M1A1 Rifle with a bayonet attached. In the anime, Rei is voiced by Marina Inoue and Jessica Boone.

Rei has long, light-brownish hair with bangs and two strands sticking out above the rest of her hair. She has reddish-brown eyes and a slender figure with ample s. Throughout the series, she has been constantly dressed in her school uniform and has seldom changed her attire. After they leave Rika Minami's house, she stops wearing the black, thigh-high socks she had on and replaces them with knee and elbow pads. She wears a different green skirt and removes the bow from her shirt. She also adds white fingerless gloves and combat webbing to hang her M1A1 rifle on.

While at Shizuka's friend's house, Rei changed into her pajamas which consisted of a tight tank top and white .

 

At Saya's house, Rei is shown wearing a white robe.

 

In an Omake chapter in the manga, Rei is seen wearing a maid outfit, revealing biker clothing, fashionable mature clothing, and even a puppy costume, as suggested by other female characters.

HistoryEdit

She is the daughter of Kiriko Miyamoto and Tadashi Miyamoto.

When she was in kindergarten with Takashi, she made a pinky promise with him that, when they grow up, they will marry each other. Despite always harboring a deep affection for Takashi, his constant reluctance caused her to give up on him and date one of his friends, Hisashi. Although she was dating Hisashi, she never got over Takashi and still always liked him, despite their friendship appearing totally ruined to their friends. Although Rei is supposed to be a senior along with Saeko, she was held back a year since her father was the police officer in charge of investigating her teacher's father. That teacher is known as Koichi Shido, who is cruel and ruthless. As some sort of revenge for having his father investigated by Rei's father, he forced her to repeat the whole year. Since then, she has held a grudge against him.

 

 

PersonalityEdit

Rei is known to be a headstrong and reliable member of the group. She is very caring towards everyone, especially Takashi. Although constantly reprimanding him for his selflessness, she admits that this was one of the reasons she originally fell in love with him. She has held deep affection for Takashi since they were in kindergarten and has always liked him. She gets extremely jealous when Saeko is near Takashi and is shown to compete with Saeko for Takashi's affection.
