ABOUT

Kim Junmyeon. The well-loved and respected doctor appears to possess the makings of a perfect surgeon/physician- calm, collected, organized, flexible, and resilient to any and every situation that confronts him. It's this very element of bravery and the man's gentle, easy-going nature that has allowed him to attain his position the same hour of his interview with Korea's most prestigious interview four years ago. Performing countless transplants, surgeries, and operations; along with administering treatments to facilitate cures for asthma, lung failure, and other sicknesses with overwhelming success has not only earned the respect of fellow doctors and the patients he treats, but also among the national medical community. And though the young doctor may jest about such a position with his colleagues, Junmyeon never lets arrogance capture his composed, picture-perfect self. Despite years of experience with limitless challenges and even more clients, Dr. Kim still aims  to treat each individual with the utmost care and values them as a person to heal. Though some may view this as a means to increase an already excessive paycheck, Junmyeon has hardly ever seen it that way and his pure intentions from the beginning remain true to this very day.

Junmyeon is known for his simple, easy-going nature- though the man does tend to over-think certain situations. The doctor posseses deep loyalty for those he respects, and more-often-than not solid memory. oganization and attetion to detail is his forte, and everyone can't help but occasionally wince at his silly jokes and rare display of childishness.

However, once that immaculate ivory doctor's coat slides gracefully from those shoulders at the end of the day, the physician is free from having to pretend anymore. Though there is no facade whatsoever to his soft and caring demeanor, that soft smile and relaxed browbone no longer has to convince anyone in the daily 14 hour lie that everything is perfectly fine.

The code that every doctor must adhere to is thus- One must arrive at work on time with a fresh mind and optimistic outlook with no discractions or memories of the day(s) previous. The individual must then carry out all tasks with the utmost professionalism. It is an essential requirement to perform life-and-death risking tasks calmly on the body as if one was merely repairing a car or painting a wall. Finally, the specialist must then possess the ability to pull out of that sizable hospital parking lot and return the comfort of home and a normal lifestyle; remembering nothing. There is supposed to be no emotional baggage to attend to, no thoughts of scissored-open bodies, no acknowledgements of that mother's tortured expression on the other side of the swing-open door as the surgeon slices open her child to carry out that lung transplant.

If only things were that simple....

Junmyeon can't help  remember them all- because that biting fear in the patient's eyes before every operation takes him back to the reason why he's here- a childhood memory that will forever scar that tender heart of his. A memory he absolutely detests himself for. His pathetic helplessness and stupidity had cost someone precious to him their life. Never again. Junmyeon Kim wouldn't, couldn't allow anyone to go through the agony of what he had those 17 years ago..

And ever since the horrfic occurance, the man had resolved to become a doctor so that he could erase the possibility such tragedy ocurring ever again. Everyone told Junmyeon it was impossible- that someone with his family status could never be accepted into the schooling that was needed. But the young man had proved them wrong, only pushing himself further in the pursuit of the title "Doctor". He had taken on any job he could find, laboring endlessly to obtain the funds required for Medical University. He poured his life into studying and had transformed himself into a human spongue, absorbing every letter from the textbooks, every syllable that fell from the professor's lips. It's been nothing but raw determination that's led Dr. Kim here. It's what's driven him to be the best.

But now, being the most well-known physician in your field is a whole other curse in itself, even more so than this false security he's created for himself. Perfection is expected. Perfection is required. Each operation and diagnosis must be carefully performed and painstakingly recorded. There is no room for error. Of course, Junmyeon has had numerous close calls during transplants or the like, but every work of his has been successful- because he will not allow anything otherwise. If something ever did occur, the man would shatter from the core. But it's impossible,  he tells himself. You were born for this occupation. Now breathe in, breathe out. Let's begin the next procedure.

MESSAGE TO LOVER

It is no longer oxygen that my lungs inhale hungrily, but solely you. You've become my breath, my strength, and my life- the source and the center of my everything. I love you.
OOC INFORMATION

- I prefer third point of view, but I'm perfectly content with detailed first point of view as long as it's exactly that: detailed. If you give me "/Smiles
okay! /eyesmiles" or some other senseless not worth replying to- chances are I'll ignore you. Not trying to be mean at all, I promise. ♥

 - Plots are greatly loved upon. It doesn't have to be the world's longest, most elaborate storyline that takes a millenia of thought to engender; but please, please do not send me a copy and paste greeting. How the hell am I even supposed to respond to that? If you'd like to roleplay with me, please inquire about a plot of yours or mine that interests you, and then let's do it! Like I've said- it doesn't have to be drawn out to every last detail, but scructure is  very much adored.

 - I prefer quality over quantity. This simply means that you most certainly do NOT have to mirror my length. As long as the content portrays your response, character, personality, action, etc., it can be whatever length is required. Of course as long as it's not just "The young nurse smiled softly at Dr. Kim's reaction to the shoulder tap, wondering what the older was thinking."

- Due to work and school, I will be replying late most of the time. Please forgive me, but it is a matter that can not be helped. Please do not poke me, as I am well aware of to whom I must reply.
