Jay had a wonderful- albeit strict, upbringing. His father was the fourth in a long line of men in his family that served in the Army, and it was expected of Jay to follow in his fathers footsteps. However, that wasn't his passion, his passion was art-

anything that would allow him to express himself. This quickly earned him his father's disapproval, though the two soon came to a compromise. He would attend college and would partake in both the arts, as well as ROTC, and if Jay's career didn't take off within two years of being out of college... he would have to enlist.
ABOUT ME: CONTINUED
Being that he was younger at the time, and still in high school, Jay simply believed he didn't have a choice and agreed to his fathers conditions. Now that he is away from home, Jay is starting to see the world for what it really is. Hard... but beautiful, and full of possibilities. College isn't easy, especially when you have so much on your plate...
ABOUT ME: COMPLETED
but it is safe to say that all this responsibility has helped Jay to become his own man. He isn't as bitter as he once was in high school, or as preoccupied with his father's demands. Without the pressure his family put on him, Jay is finally his own person, one that he actually likes.
