〈 ⋮ EMPTINESS
hyuna has spent her life flaunting her average performance at best, taking things as they came, and possibly taking things too easily. she did what was expected of her but never more, never the type to go above and beyond, never bothering to train after hours. however, her skill in certain aspects were undeniable and hyuna possessed a deadly aim with knife-throwing, terrifyingly skilled with blades despite her disinterested demeanor. from there, hyuna simply worked to maintain that skill, brushing up on other skills only when she drastically fell behind but beyond that, preferred to lay in bed, twirling a knife in one hand while popping chips into with the other. hyuna, disregarding her attitude towards the games, was the typical career. her family sought pride through having a victor to boast, but only sorrow and shame were brought when her brother returned an empty and hollow replica of what had been. hope turned to her afterwards, but she remained indifferent towards the game, far from bloodthirsty, not caring for revenge. but in an unexpected twist of fate, hyuna now stands in a position for which there is one requirement: to kill or be killed.
〈 ⋮ DECEPTION
Hyuna lives the typical Career life but is not the typical Career. Disinterested in her surroundings, she remains indifferent to happenings not concerning her and chose to appear apathetic to current day matters. Despite this, Hyuna is well-aware of all that goes on in the world around her, formulating her own, rather simple opinion on it: It's unnecessary, but what is there to do? If it doesn't concern her directly, she doesn't care. selfishly so, hyuna only ever bothers to intervene on matters that personally benefit her, never willing to set fire to herself for the sake of another such as her deceased brother and his revenge. in fact, hyuna doesn't even know who killed her brother. On her own accord, she grew up without friends, without a care in the world, preferring to bask in her luxurious lifestyle alone over socialize with others. Estranged from the world, Hyuna has a different mindset, and finds interest in the concept of human anger, having lived so carefree. In an attempt to understand the human mindset Hyuna turns to provocation through teasing, insulting, and belittling, finding it amusing when people succumb so mindlessly and easily to empty little provocations. Through this she found the ability to pinpoint human weaknesses, using them to her advantage to make jobs all the more easier for her. She was leaning on the chain railing during the reaping, finding entertainment in picking at her nails, when she heard her name boom through the speakers. When eyes turned to her and all fell silent, Hyuna did not object; in contrast, she head over to the stage, hands shoved in her pockets, still as careless as ever, because what was she supposed to do? It was a waste of energy to thrash and beg around for a volunteer. But she has a newfound purpose: to survive.
〈 ⋮ PRIDE
it's a miracle hyuna is even prepared for these games, but due to her lucky birth in a well-off district, she was provided with sufficient training (even though she herself wasn't exactly sufficient). she focused on blade-handling, therefore hyuna is extremely deadly when provided with daggers or knives of the sort, and is very conventional with their usage. as an effect of her blade throwing, hyuna has stronger arm strength than the normal female. Other than that, hyuna's light frame makes it easy for her to carry herself, and she is fair with agility as well as flexibility. in order to use the two aspects fully, hyuna polished her reflexes whenever she felt like going to extra mile (which was rare, but enough for her to have above average reflexes). when hyuna bothers to put in the effort, she is also proficient in pinpointing vulnerabilities in people through verbal provocation, and uses that well to her advantage in order to make her target easier to subdue or defeat.
〈 ⋮ VULNERABILITY
one thing hyuna failed to accomplish was stamina. due to her short training schedules and tendency to never go above and beyond, hyuna's stamina remained low and insufficient, resulting in her having to find ways to end fights quickly. Due to her lavish lifestyle, hyuna has never witnessed extreme temperatures, and when faced with them, she'd return home to air conditioning or proper heating. in addition, she was well taken care of therefore rarely suffered from sickness due to cleanliness. her lack of exposure to such difficulties resulted in a weak immune system. hyuna is also unable to survive during prolonged periods without food. to add fuel to the flame, she is also unadaptable, and it would take her an infinity to accustom herself to the games (especially when she has a comfy capitol to return to). coming from her disinterested personality, hyuna is also very unconfrontational and does not do well under pressure.
