ISimon is of mixed ancestry and has always grown up with the prejudice of being a product of wedlock. His father was a wealthy businessman whilst his Mother was a Japanese who just so happened to bear him a son, after the man had long left Japan. Simon grew up constantly struggling to find his cultural identity as well as his own. Bullied on a near constant basis every day till he was 15 made the boy turn ice cold. He couldn't stand people and when he entered high school, he had finally reached a breaking point. Simon began rebelling against the teachers that would scowl at his dark skin, and beat up the kids that would taunt him for it. It would be the last time he would let someone call him a 'Gaijin'. After that the boy spiraled out of control, drinking, taking drugs, and getting various body modifications. It was on the day that he received his first tattoo that his life truly changed though. Because the very tattoo shop he stepped into was called 'The Black Circus', and the artist specialized in Circus tattoos. The man himself was once a great Beast tamer and told the boy the tales of his life as he inked a snarling bear onto his skin. Simon also exchanged stories with the stranger, telling the man of his struggles growing up, and his failure to identify with his unknown mixed heritage. He also spoke of wanting something from his life that he wasn't quite sure what it was. It was then that the man made the tanned boy an offer he simple couldn't refuse. "Would you like to learn how to tame that beast inside of you?" And ever since that day, Simon never looked back. Because he was determined to tame the beast within him, and any other one he came across. It was through rigorous training that Simon finally discovered his hidden ability. He could speak to animals, but despite having this gift. The boy insisted on learning to tame them without the use of his powers. It was for this reason, as well as his amazing power that he was recruited by the circus. With or without his powers Simon was one of the best Beast Tamers in this world, no one even knew about his powers aside from his new employers. They simply chose him because his gift could make things even more interesting. "You'll give us a show now won't you Simon ?"

Personality: Simon is cold, and very serious when it comes to his profession (beast taming), and is a bit of a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect (when it comes to his 'work' anyway). Simon doesn't like people very much and prefers the company of the beasts he tames instead. Because of that he usually comes off as rude, or unsociable to other members of the Troupe

plots:

a. "You'll give us a show now... won't you Simon?" [ Open to a Ringmaster ] - The person who dug the beast tamer out of the he resided in for several years. Simon was stuck in a dead end circus whose only attraction was well... 'The Beasts Ring' which Simon was in charge of. For several years he stood behind the curtain, taming various wild beasts to be used in a Circus he wasn't allowed to perform in. That's right. Simon was the 'Actual' Lion Tamer. Instead of being able to display his talents for an audience he was forced to be kept behind the scenes, allowing other people the limelight he so deserved. It was on a day much like any other. Except for the fact that the gifted Tamer finally snapped. The tattooed man was sitting alone in his shabby looking Quarters when an unknown person came to him. "Would you like to go somewhere where your talents can truly be appreciated? Where people can actually see you?". Simon doesnt recall giving the person a firm answer, but the next thing he knew he was being whisked away to an unfamiliar place.... "You'll give us a show now... won't you Simon?"

[ The person who discovered Simon. You helped him realize his dreams by bringing him to the Night Circus. The two of you share a special bond and you are the only one in the Circus he'll really listen to. He truly respects you and values your opinion the most. You could tell the man anything and he'd probably do it. ]

 

b. "So you think you're better than me ?" [ Open to an Animal Tamer ] - Simon remembers the day he first met you, and constantly wishes he hadn't. From the day you laid eyes on each other, you've disliked one another. The tanned male never quite cared for your attitude and the both of you seem to have a Rivalry going against each other. But, one day you decide to disturb Simon when he's working on a new routine and it sends the Japanese man off the edge. It is in that moment that he decides he wants to settle things once and for all. "If you think you're so much better than me. Let's.... play a little game"

 

c. "You're pissing him off" [ Taken by Kyungsoo ] - Simon is passing by the carousel on his way to his quarters when he hears the familiar low growls and paws padding the earth. Its the Carousel coming to life once more, just like it does every night. The Japanese man is about to continue with his business until he hears a startled sound. Turning his eyes toward the living Carousel, he sees a Dreamer, a customer on top of one of the beasts. Simon could tell the man was getting a bit nervous/flustered as the ________(whatever beast you chose) became restless beneath him. Simon sighed, hearing the animals thoughts in his own head as he watched them "Stop it, You're pissing him off"
