Sharp eyesight, like an owl, including the ability to see very xmall objects from vast distances. Coupled with unusually high stamina and endurance, he is very agile and physically reckless.
Background
Kori is technically a ward of the state, after being found orphaned at twelve years old. But he always hated living in the home for boys, and frequently ran away. They kept finding him until recently. Either he got better at evading them, or they just gave up. Now he lives in an abandoned railway that he repurposed for himself. It's his home, and is own private lair, complete with a conspicuous flag. (He never did grasp the concept of subtlety.)
During the day, he's a high school student, but not very invested in the whole thing. He just sort of goes through the motions and doesn't do his homework ever. He's basically outcasted, but it's partially brought on by his own odd behavior. He keeps to himself and won't engage in conversation with anyone unless they approach him first. His closest friend is his mouse, Rodent, whom he lives with and takes on parkour excursions through the city at night.
Born on a reservation to his mother, Kori knows very little of his "father." Later on in adolescence, he learned that his mother was a victim, and he was a product of that. Despite this fact, his mother was as loving and caring as she possibly could have been. She died when he was twelve, and he coped by rnning away. He ended up hitchhiking all the way to Aelham, where he was dropped off at a hospital, and eventually taken in by a home.
He's always had his powers. It was shortly after moving to Aelham that he gained a fixation with superheroes. As an angsty teenager who feels generally trapped or wronged by the system and the culture he lives in, it didn't take long for him to start dressing up in tight spandex and gallivanting through the night. He doesn't do much crime fighting, unless he happens upon a mugging or something, in which case he will step in. Otherwise, it's petty thievery and scavenging to get by. He's not in it for morality or the greater good. He's just in it for himself.
Kori's alter ego, Night Owl, is outgoing and rather imposing, flirtatious, a little crazy even. He likes to get under people's skin just to the point where they don't want to kill him, but they might want to punch him in the face. His weapon of preference is a slingshot and a short knife. He prefers sneak attacks when he's serious about hurting, killing, or seriously disabling someone. Although, he doesn't like the kill. He's kind of squeamish about it and will only do it if it's absolutely necessary or he's seeking revenge.
Night Owl is not exactly a friendly neighbor and not a dark horse either. To some, he's a nuissance more than anything, but he can be very helpful, especially as a mostly neutral party who can be easily bought.
