Amber's life started out simply enough. Born into a fairly well off beta family, she was their star child. Energetic, bold, playful, Courageous, forthright were all terms used to describe her on a regular basis. Teachers praised her ability to focus, coaches praised her never ending endurance and ability to bring together the best in her team. From a very young age it was clear that she was cut from a different stock. A born alpha. Despite her ambitious attitude and well put together outward appearance, things were not always peaches and cream for amber.

Shortly after Amber turned ten her father was hired by a foreign pack to deal with some legal issues. these issues became so involved that he was required to travel for extended periods of time. The absence of Amber's father in the household began to wear away her mothers sanity. The evening phone calls between the two betas, the only thing keeping her grounded. With each passing month Amber's mothers nerves grew more and more frazzled an her temper shorter. It was hard for amber to even go home as it meant facing her mothers wrath even though she rarely did anything wrong. Soon, the phone calls from her father became increasingly infrequent. By the time Amber turned twelve they had stopped all together. Just before Amber turned thirteen her mother found out that her father had been seeing another woman, from the other pack, for the better part of his absence. Needless to say, shortly thereafter Amber's mother lost what little sanity she had left. she quietly sold the family home and one afternoon while amber was at school, she phased into her wolf form and ran away, never to be seen or heard from again,  leaving amber without a home or a family to call her own. 

She learned the hard way how to take care of herself, floating from friends house to friends house as she searched for a job and a landlord who would offer her work and housing under the table. She pushed herself extremely hard in high school and built a reputation for being a hardworking independent strong woman who wouldn't take crap from anyone.
