mature, solemn, introvert. sunggyu stays quiet most of the time, minding his own business, almost never interferring with others' matters. he speaks formally most of the time, unless he was with his close friends, or family. he prefers being alone, thus he's always isolating himself away from crowds. like a proper 25 year old, he acts his age-- if not even more mature. he had met the harsh and cruel society when he's a teenager, so he tends to be pessimistic about everything happening. it was almost as if nothing could be positive in his eyes. caring, warm, kind. he has a heart made of gold, and similar to an elder brother, he takes care of his friends who are younger than him very well, making sure that they are good before even caring about himself. despite being an only child, he is thoughtful and warm. he likes to see others happy-- and if he does, he would smile unconsciously, and his mood would improve by a lot. insecure, hot-headed, pessimistic. he tends to jump to conclusion and assume things-- being paranoid and all. also, he would probably reject all the sunny thoughts and belive in negative ones. ("the weather is good today! let's go to the beach" "nah... it'll rain soon") however, as you get to know him, he would open up a lot, showing you his smile, displaying skinship with you-- he would treasure all his close friends and girlfriends. everyone that manages to love him for the way he is would recieve his love as well, and when he starts loving, he would never stop until the world ends. he goes all out.

sunggyu was born in a wealthy family, with parents that showered him with love since he's the only child. his childhood was perfect, and there was nothing more that he could ever ask for. however, when he was seventeen, his father decided to invest in a company, which turned out to have taken the money that they invested and ran away. his family was declared bankrupt, and they had to move from their mansion, to a small apartment that can barely fit all three of them. his father lost his company and business, while his mother was out of job due to retrenchment. ever since then, sunggyu's life was a living hell-- from a rich young master, he turned into an absolute pauper. he had to take up part-time jobs after school, and go to tuitions at the same time. barely managing, he survived high school after getting retained a few years, and immediately went out into the society to work. every day doesn't seem to be improving for him, and as much as he wants to lead an easy life like before, he never once blamed his father. everyone makes mistakes. sunggyu knew that if he worked harder, he would be able to regain whatever his father had lost in the past. deep down, he felt himself slowly letting go-- "it's impossible"-- as if there's someone telling him to give up. someone has to save him from this living hell, and pull him out of his misery. someone has to save him, somehow.
