Weaknesses:

Naeun can only heal himself after injury, not others. Cannot control the speed of regeneration. If injury is severe, some nerves may be lost, resulting in loss of feeling. Not immune to pain. Slows down ageing. Also, at her level, she is not able to regrow whole limbs or organs. Regeneration cannot work if her body is torn apart.

She is unable to raise the dead, although in some instances may be able to revive people who have very recently died. In addition, she can only heal one person at a time. Healing an entire group with take immense amounts of concentration and years of experience that she has not yet acquired. She also only able to heal others, and not herself. The worst, however, is that there is a empathic side to her power, as she must also absorb and endure the pain of the individual she is healing.

Personality:

People call Naeun the “Ice Princess.” And it actually describes her façade to the general public. But with her beloved close friends, she’s totally different. She is every bit the lady, with passion that is burried deep inside. When you first talk to her, she speaks cautiously and seriously, sometimes not even making eye contact with you. Though that’s only because she is quite shy and soft-spoken, and it takes a while for her to open up herself to people. When you hit her warm spot, she’ll prove to you that she can be a good person inside and out. Calm, caring, patient and sisterly like.

Watch out though, she has her limits and of course, negative traits. She’s not hot-tempered, but can be really feisty and even bad-mouthed when the time calls for it to. She’s also not a risk-taker, and is too cowardly to face her fears, even the simplest ones like the darkness or disgusting looking insects. When under pressure of any kind, she can be panicky and unable to think straight: instead of being a helping hand, she would have had become a burden. Also because of her shyness, she rarely has any good friends—and is labeled as a loner most of the time. She doesn’t mind much though—more peace and quiet, she would jokingly say.

Background:

Son Naeun was brought up in a normal, run-of-the-mill middle class family in the year 1994, tenth of February. She lived simply, plainly, contented—and alone. It was a daily routine that she had gotten used to at the tender age of six; wake up to see that her parents were gone and out working early in the morning, let out a sad sigh, then cook herself her own breakfast of warm toast and strawberry jam after that she would take a quick shower, put on her crisp and clean clothes, bid a short goodbye to the empty house, and go well on her way to the huge swirling cauldron of different personalities and social classes to what is called a school, only to come back home to the silent and empty house on the hill that was her home and wake up to the same routine. Her parents? She would see them every Friday evening and would spend time with them until they work again at dawn, Monday morning.

Some people pitied her. According to stories told by those gossipers around town, she could have been born into a wealthy family. Her father was originally a rich young merchant who was new to the community, nineteen years ago. That was two years before her birth: 1992. Things were going smoothly and fruitful for her well-respected father until the exact week before she was born. The 7-Day Dark Age, as the elderly ladies called it. At that period of time, by some curse that was suddenly put onto her family, her father’s business was ruined; unpaid debts caused by con artists were directed to him and demanded to be paid, suppliers failed to send them stock, the market went down, soon pushing them into bankruptcy, the nightmare had only ended the day after she was born. Some people call her the curse, some call her the blessing. Nonetheless, she doesn’t let this rumor affect her.
