Description

Bio: Born in Daegu, South Korea to a engineer and a former broadway actress, Han Hyeyeon had a fairly normal upbringing. A nice community, good school, and loving parents was the norm for her. Everything was normal it seemed except for Haneul. She was a strange girl who never quite fit in anywhere. With the guys she was too girly with her round eyes and pale skin that made her seem too fragile to play in the mud and get down and dirty. With the girls she was too boyish, playing too rough, and being too crude with a dislike for dolls and playing house. And in addition it seemed that the Sibyl System could never recognize whenever she was feeling angry or sad as a child. She didn't feel like she fit in anywhere As a result, Ryu tended to isolate herself from people, only showing loyalty to her soft-spoken best friend: Kagawa Rei

The boy ended up moving away when they were in elementary school though, and so she was forced to associate with others. In middle school, Hyeyeon stopped using her first name because it made her slightly cringe upon hearing it, so she went by the name Kite. In high school, Kite could only be described as a punk, often getting into fights and generally acting out. Her parents were by that point going through a divorce, so of course there was nobody to pay attention to her. Nobody was there to reprimand her. So she continued in her downward spiral, hanging out with college drop outs and picking up their habits of drug use and alcoholism.

During high school, Kite ended up living with her father who was constantly absent due to work. With the time she spent alone with herself, Kite finally began questioning her own gender and existence. Why did she always feel so uncomfortable in her own skin? Was something wrong with her at the molecular level for Sibyl not to recognize her? She didn't know the answer, and she still doesn't to this day. One day, in an attempt to feel more comfortable with herself, she cut her long brown locks and opted for a short, jet black look that was boyish in nature. She bound her s and opted for little to no makeup on an everyday basis. Her father returned that evening to see what he thought was a teenaged boy sitting in the living room and just about had a cow. She didn't care though. She felt better about herself, and that was all that mattered to her. Though she is more comfortable, there's no denying that the dysphoria is still strong, but she tries not to dwell on those thoughts for too long and instead chooses to push forward.

Kite's only saving grace was that she'd always been somewhat of a musical prodigy. At age 5 she began taking Piano lessons, and kept building and branching out until she was gifted with not only the piano but the viola, trumpet, and cello; and proficient in guitar. At age 18, she auditioned for Seoul National University's Music program and got in with a scholarship. She doesn't recieve much help from her father with her school fees because he didn't approve of her pursuing music as a profession, and so she took up various part time jobs in an attempt to make her own way in the world.

Personality: Despite her own personal insecurities and small stature, Kite's presence is how she chooses to fill out a room. Aesthetics are always important in her eyes and she surrounds herself with beautiful people and things, often coming off as quite vain in many situations with the great lengths she goes through to make sure things are pleasing to the eye. A bibliophile and a social media and videogame addict, she is surprisingly well cultured for someone who is so in touch with the habits of her generation. She's quite charming often comes off as a flirt with both men and women alike, often known to draw people in and ruin them for fun, and has often been the cause of people being required to attend mandatory therapy. She's got many secrets of her own, the main one being her inability to stimulate a response from Sibyl, which she often lies and claims the reason to it being her indifference to the world.
