Description

Lord Ciel Phantomhive

A house fire took Ciel Phantomhive's parents from him, engulfing them in its flames and barely sparing him. The child ran while calling out for help, only to run into the arms of a stranger that would change his life around; he was over to a savage cult that got entertainment from the torture of the young children they captured. The cult members that looked on hid cowardly behind a mask of anonymity, never once showing their faces as they laughed mockingly.

Ciel called out for help and a dark figure appeared, wondering if he really wanted to make a contract, but Ciel, who was naive and scared out of his wits, agreed without hesitation and was quickly marked with the Faustian Contract in his right eye; their contract states that once Ciel's mission of getting revenge and showing the people who did that to him the same humilation and pain he experienced, his soul will be consumed by Sebastian Michaelis. It was not long after that he surprised the nation, appearing home in the night with a butler dressed in black by his side; the mansion was reconstructed beautifully in one night. The remaining family members were taken aback by these events and, much to their surprise, the young boy they once knew as always smiling and laughing rarely cracked a smile. The new Earl Phantomhive, at the age of thirteen, has forgotten how to smile cheerfully.

It has been years since the incident but that makes no difference as he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, when triggered he will experience flashbacks of the traumatic experience and often lose his bearings as he grows too immersed in the horrors that resurface in his mind. Although Ciel has made a name for himself not only for being the Earl of the Phantomhive household at the age of thirteen, but also as the Queen's Watchdog. Filled to the brim with pride, determination and competitveness it may make him a hard character to speak to and get to know fully.

The Earl Phantomhive will not hesitate to resort to dishonest means to get to where he needs to be and he has no qualms with being so, even resorting to bribery, and he's merciless with the unlimited number of enemies that are sent his way through the Queen's orders. Despite seeming mature, there will be points when Ciel showcases his childish side, especially during challenges. The young Earl is incredibly fond of sweets, surprisingly, and will often demand for them which showcases that he's still a child despite his front.
