background - It all began at the time Seung Jun was born; there was something off about him that made his parents uneasy as they watched him grow up, but they pledged unanimously to ignore the weird factors and never mention it while they were in the young boys' presence. They stayed true to their agreement until it became too much for many of the family members, they began to whisper to one another as they watched him go about his daily duties - especially as he grew to enter late adolescence. The odd behaviors became more profound and the sick feeling in the pits of their stomachs didn't sit right; they were always on their toes around him, faking the smiles and laughter, and not once opening their mouths to inquire on how he was doing for fear of unleashing a secret none of them wanted to be in possession of. Seung Jun stayed quiet in fear of upsetting his parents and losing the little bond they actually had, even though something made him feel uneasy.

The staff within the school and his friends, even complete strangers that he'd pass by sometimes on the way to his classes, began remarking on how odd he seemed lately. Seung Jun brushed the statements off, pretending as if he knew nothing about what they were taking about, which, incidentally, appeared to be true. After all, he was the top student in the school with a promising future ahead of him - he didn't have time to be bothered by such silly tales. Things took a drastic turn towards the end of his senior year when he began withdrawing from everyone, sleeping in and skipping a few days of school at a time, and growing suspicious of those around him. They were obvious warning signs but nobody wanted to see it.

The voices in his head began to grow too much; he began accusing his friends of being hired by the government to spy on him, that it was part of the governments plan to control him, what with how they were the ones spitting insults at him from the back of his head - they were the shadows that followed him through the day and they were the ones turning everyone against him. It didn't take long for him to snap; it happened during the middle of a review lesson for the final exams that were rapidly approaching, Seung Jun's friend kept glancing back at him suspiciously and whispering into his desk partners ear. Jun thought he saw them snickering to one another. Slowly pushing himself up from his seat and ignoring the confused stammers coming from the instructors mouth, he lunged at his "friend" and pinned him to the ground by the neck; the class stood onlooking in shock as Seung Jun began throwing hard punches to the teenager's face, but it didn't take long before they were pushing and shoving each other out of the way while screaming - trying to remove themselves from the hostile threat.

By the time the instructor came back with the security guards, the teenager had long since stopped trying to fight back and Seung Jun's hands were bleeding from the force in which he was striking the male under him with. Needless to say, Seung Jun was sent home for the day and was only allowed back on the school grounds to write his final exams and participate in the graduation. The students avoided him when they saw him entering the school grounds with only pencils and erasers grasped within the hand that proved what he did was reality, the hand was bandaged and underneath the bandages showcased beautifully bloomed bruises along his knuckles along with torn, red skin.

After Seung Jun was finished with his final duties as a high school student, his parents brought him to the doctor in a feeble attempt to free their son from the demons they believed inhabited his brain. The doctor solemnly announced that their son had been diagnosed with Schizophrenia after extensive tests had been taken on him - they were absolutely crushed and asked if there was anything to do to get rid of it, they were disappointed when the doctor revealed that it would be a life-long battle but as long as Seung Jun went to therapy and took his medications he would be able to keep it under control. It hadn't taken long after the announcement before his parents concluded that it would be "beneficial" for Jun to live in his own apartment a town over, but they reassured him that they "loved" him and would continue paying all his bills - the rent, the psychiatrist, and the medicine. He was only seventeen at the time.

Although Seung Jun attended his sessions with the psychiatrist and took the appropriate medications, his parents rarely interacted with him and when they decided to show their faces it was only to pay up. Being abandoned by his parents who made him desperately fight for approval his whole life, made him become a recluse; he would only leave the house if he needed to buy another carton of cigarettes or a bottle of vodka. Drinking and smoking his days away while watching people go about their business below his balcony became an everyday occurrence, until the voices and figures came back into his life - reality was bending again and he could feel it. They began telling him how he provided no worth for this world, that he should just off himself and free the Earth of another parasite; eventually, he heeded to their ruthless taunting's and took a final swig of his vodka before stepping up onto the banister of his balcony, swaying as he tried to keep his balance for a few moments longer. That was the second time in his life that he heard screams of horror caused by him. Obviously he was convinced to step down, albeit with a little bit of force, and then he was carted off to the hospital.

The psychiatric ward in the hospital was a place where Seung Jun felt the most at peace, the most at home, funny enough. They changed the doses of his medication and the voices that were once taunting him became almost... silent again. In that hospital, at the age of twenty-one, he made his first friends after the incident in his last year of high school. Another patient at the hospital, In-Su, and a doctor from Thailand, Chao Fah, became his world; they showed him what friendship was once again. Jun spent his stay in the hospital playing chess with In-Su and having Chao Fah tell him stories at night, lulling him to sleep, even when it was difficult to do so, however, his pleasant stay came to a grinding halt when In-Su was discharged and had to say his goodbyes; Jun locked himself in his hospital room after that and refused even Chao Fah to come in until they had to force their way into the room. After spending a lengthy amount of time in the hospital, Seung Jun was discharged at the age of twenty-two and went on with his life without looking back with the dawning realization that Chao Fah was simply doing his job and didn't form any special connection with him and the news of In-Su's death looming overhead.

Seung Jun managed to snag himself a cozy job in the library, stacking shelves with newly purchased or returned books and running errands. The young man's life seemed to be turning around, looking up, and he managed to find himself a boyfriend by the name of Kang-Dae; they had to lie low however, for fear of being sniffed out and thrown out into the public for people to laugh and spit at. Kang-Dae and Seung Jun's relationship was lasting well, Jun's life was doing well, up until he turned twenty-four; Kang-Dae was well-informed of the mental illness Jun suffered but he never experienced a psychotic break that happened when Jun neglected taking his medications or attending his therapy sessions... One night, Seung Jun just... snapped, he began accusing Kang-Dae of using him and cheating on him, which Kang-Dae quickly rebutted, trying to make Jun see how ridiculous he sounded.

Needless to say, Seung Jun was being carted off in handcuffs with a blackening eye and bruised knuckles. They tried to make it work again but Kang-Dae was worried about his well-being and packed up without saying goodbye, and with that, Seung Jun's life was tumbling into a black hole. There was nothing left for him and he began turning back to nicotine and alcohol, something that would numb the pain he was feeling and deafen the voices that were caressing the back of his brain with such seductive words. Reality was turning into fantasy and fantasy was turning into reality again.

Alois' lips curled back into a wicked grin when he came across the infamous Lee Seung Jun; he thought that he was absolutely perfect for his side of the chess board. Another pawn was plucked up and thrown into the field, and now Seung Jun, who is twenty-five, goes along with the games he's into because what else is there to do...? The medications are working for now but who's to say that the lines won't blur once more.

personality - A quiet, well-mannered kid. Seung Jun does not like speaking more than he has to and he enjoys quieter types of people over louder, obnoxious types. There will be times when he becomes completely apathetic and that normally happens when a psychotic episode is on the verge of veering it's nasty head. When he enters his episodes, he becomes increasingly aggressive and paranoid but by the time he's managed to come back around and stabilizes slightly, he often criticizes himself and will avoid the ones whom he's hurt due to the fear of being abandoned and losing another loved one.
