Things you should know about me
Hi. My name is Yuri and it's nice to meet you. I'm twenty-one years old and I'm currently renting a small apartment in the wonderful city of Seoul. I'm working full-time as a social worker that aims to give a bright future for street children, orphans and kids who experienced abuse and harassment. Why I do this? Because I'm very fond of kids! I like seeing them smile, hugging them close to me as I give them the comfort they deserve. I want them to feel that they are not alone and that they can and they will have a happy life ahead of them. Just like me.
I was an orphan. I lived in the orphanage for 7 years until I was adopted by an old married couple. Grew up knowing how to treat others right and nice, I loved my father and mother so much that I forgot how it feels to be incomplete because they gave me so much from what I expected the minute I got inside their car as we drove away from the orphanage that bright morning. They gave me a valid name. They sent me to school and college. They showered me with love and support. They never made me feel like I'm not theirs. They loved me as much as I loved them and I'm forever grateful for that.
I spend my days-off from work in a dance studio a few blocks away from my apartment. Dancing is one of the things I can't live without. I dance when I'm happy. I dance when I'm sad. I dance whenever I feel like it and I teach and train people to become a professional dancer under hip-hop or kpop. Ever heard of So Nyuh Shi Dae? It's a nine member girl group and I'm one of the main dancers and choreographers. We are battling in street dance competitions, mall dance competitions or youtube dance competitions. We don't aim for fame though. We just want to have fun and dance. I love you girls!
