#about

BACKGROUND: The day is July 20, 1993 at 11:36 AM. It's bright and sunny, the sounds of laughter and music loudly blaring from inside a large van housing none other than the Mun family as they drive down Gwangan bridge. Then everything seems to move in slow motion as a semi truck loses control in the next lane over. It rams into the Mun's van and both vehicles barrel down the street violently. The occupants of both vehicles are thrown around like ragdolls, the sound of bones breaking and children screaming unable to be heard over the crunching of metal and the screeching of tires.  Then everything is silent when both of them roll to a stop. It's 11:37 AM.

That's the last memory 11-year-old Junghyuk had before falling into a coma.

The rest of his family died in the crash, as well as the driver of the semi who lost control that day. While the story of the Gwangan Bridge Accident was displayed all over the news, Junghyuk was lying his hospital bed in a coma. For years he was there, sleeping, never waking up. His grandparents kept him on life support for almost 20 years, dying before he even woke up.

When he did wake up, he was screaming, yelling the names of his parents and his sisters becase he needed to know they were okay.

The doctors had to hold him down, which was quite hard to do considering his body had still grown while he was unconscious. It was revealed to Junghyuk just moments after he woke up that his entire family was dead and he had been in a coma for a very long time.

He was left to deal with this as the team of doctors who had watched over him decided what to do now that he was awake.

In the end, he was taken in by the head doctor who had taken care of Junghyuk since his first day in the hospital. He was monitored for a few weeks before finally being released from the hospital. The old man (the doctor) who had watched over him then drove Junghyuk to his new home, a semi-large mansion in the middle of nowhere.

While being integrated into the household, the doctor enrolled Junghyuk into a special education program at a private academy where he wouldn't have to face bullying for being different. After all, even with the body of a 33-year-old, Junghyuk is still only 11.

Not only has he returned to school though, but he even has a job, working as a bakery "boy" for a small business on the edge of town.

Going through work and school, Junghyuk is still trying hard to completely adjust to his new life. Everything is so different now. New technology, faces, even siblings. He is now the oldest member of his new family besides an older sister who's 14.

Junghyuk now goes by the name Eric, not wanting people to recognize him as that Mun Junghyuk. The only survivor of the Gwangan Bridge Crash.

PERSONALITY: Unlike before the crash, when Junghyuk was a bright and bubbly kind of person, he is now quiet. The shy and reserved type. He speaks few words because he knows people will judge him for speaking like a child. It's not like he can help himself though if he still is a child. Around his new family, he's learning to open up, coming close to being who he really is around them. When talking about things he likes (such as food or TV shows) he gets excited and won't stop talking.

Although he looks tough, perhaps even rugged or handsome to people who don't know about him, Junghyuk actually doesn't take to violence or anger well. In fact, the one and only time he got yelled at, he sobbed for hours because he just felt so bad. So, typically he doesn't get very angry. However, he can be angered if you instigate him enough.

Even now, he views the world with a child-like innocence only an 11-year-old can possess. Other people may find his childishness and habit of joking around to be annoying if they don't know that he still technically a child, not only at heart but also in mind.

#others

LIKES: Coloring books, playing (learning) guitar, rainy days, his puppy Gomdori, sweets, making people smile, and hanging out with his siblings.

DISLIKES: Cars, bridges, horror movies, scary noises, bullies, and homework.

FACTS: Ever since the car crash and waking up in the hospital Eric has never been in a car. The only time was when the old man was taking him to their new home. He had a panic attack and fainted in the front seat.

After a month or two of living with his new family, Eric was given a puppy from them. He named it Gomdori. Gomdori is the only living thing in which Eric confides with. He talks to his dog a lot.
