Personality:
Off her looks alone Jessica is known as an 'Ice Princess', meaning she acts cold hearted, that her heart is of ice. This saying is rather true, because her heart becomes Ice to those that threatens her or have been part of her ill-fated past. To those that she meets at first, she considers them as her friends, in which that ice heart of hers defrost. She hardworking and his high morals of what is right and wrong. To also be more interactive with people, she will try her best to enetertain them, since this is a part of her and her past itself.
Present:
Jessica Jung is a 4th rank concubine of the Goryeo King, meaning she is part of the royal family. But, she has been sent to the Imperial palace as a gift to the Emperor and those who wish to see her great talent of singing, dancing, poetry and beauty. Before, Jessica became a concubine. She became stubborn and would never sell her body to the men, but rather enjoy the art itself. It was only she was told to raise her hair(Sleep with a man) when she met the Goryeo King. In exchange, she was promised to find the sister that her mother told her about she had, which was a half-sibling.
That being said, Jessica's life has been depressing and lonely, but she still smiles brightly, welcoming anyone in her path. Regardless, she is known for being an ice princess to those who come against her. She knows martial arts, when she was in the courtesan house from her mistress that taught her for a dance. But, don't be fooled, she can be feisty and venoumous as a snake.
Past:
Jessica was born from a Kisaeng and she is unknown of her father. She doesn't know yet that her father was the brother of the previous emperor(Her father being a prince). Her mother had met her father when she was the head mistress of the palace troupe, which entertains those of imperial status. Due to his request, she had slept with him as a Kisaeng duty fulfills such things. He eventually fell in love with her, but she did not. She would never want be his concubine because she treasured art more than anything. (If you ever watched Hwang Jini, you know what I'm perfectly talking about) Her father wanted her badly, because of her great beauty and talent but she would never give in, which caused him to even use her own son as a ransom, risking even her mothers life and resulted in his death. She was about to give in, but ran away from the palace troupe only when she found out she was pregnant. She wouldn't want her daughter to live in the treacherous rules of the Yuan palace. She escaped to Goryeo, where she born before Jessica came to the Yuan palace. Living secretly in the Goryeo courtesan house from her friends till they were caught, her mother died from an illness when she was sold into slavery and Jessica had no other choice but to become a courtesan.Due to her stubroness, she was never swayed by any man till she met King of Goryeo. He had made an offer that she simply couldn't refuse and indulged in a fater her mother wish she had no part of.
