kim myungsoo is a full-time factory worker and an aspiring webtoon artist that is just trying his best to get his big break. however, between graveyard shifts at the factory that makes him smell like potato chips and constantly running around trying to get his very first webtoon published, myungsoo isn't known to sleep much. especially when the comic that he is working on hasn't been well received by some of the potential online publishers that he's spoken to. but not one to give up, myungsoo has taken to posting his work online anyway, hoping that his work will attract a small fanbase that will eventually lead him to being a published webtoon artist.
so far, he has about thirty chapters done and about a hundred followers, which sounds pretty bad compared to some of those artists that have thousands of followers behind them, but since this is his first work and he's literally posting it on his blog, he feels pretty good about how well it's been received so far. especially when people are slowly hearing about it (it's a sci-fi webtoon about a couple of teenagers that find themselves transported to the future and all the hijinks they get into) and are coming to read his stuff. but despite that, it doesn't really bring him any money, at least not yet, so working at a nearby factory is his way of paying the bills. even if he's not very fond of the job and his coworkers aren't too keen about his interests.
occasionally he'll take a class or two at the local college, usually something art or business related, but he's never going to get a degree.

+ relatively quiet and aloof, especially around new people
+ gives off a cold aura, but he's actually quite warm and sweet once you get to know him, he's just awkward with people at first
+ can be a bit of a chatterbox when he talks about his interests, almost seems like a different person because of how much he lights up
+ has a temper, but he's not one to hold grudges or anything like that
+ he knows that he's good looking, but he still feels a bit awkward in his body (he used to be a bit of an awkward looking kid until puberty kicked in) and doesn't really like the attention that it brings at times, especially since girls will like to 'coo and ah' at him, almost as if he's a cute little animal at the zoo or something
+ he's a bit naive when it comes to relationships, wanting to see the good in people, but he trusts way too easily and it's only a matter of time until he actually gets burned because of it
+ a very clean and organized person, quite about it too, and has a habit of stress cleaning and will clean up after people, even when he doesn't need to
+ has a habit of being late to things, especially since he loses track of time because he hyper focuses on 1-2 activities at a time, he is obviously not the best at multi-tasking

+ fanserviced [ jongin ] - during one of his off days, myungsoo ends up taking one of his sketchbooks to do some doodling outside or at a coffee shop (or somewhere else). while there, he gets caught by one of his readers.
+ crush or be crushed [ open ] - myungsoo usually doesn't feel ual attraction until he's gotten emotionally connected/romantically attached to someone. this person has been a friend for at least a couple of months and myungsoo can't help but get a crush and feel ually attracted to them. however, like all crushes, they either bloom or go unnoticed.
+ thawing ice [ open ] - due to myungsoo's cold appearance and awkward nature, sometimes myungsoo has a hard time making friends, especially when some just avoid him because of how he looks. but one of the tenants at the apartment can't help but notice that myungsoo isn't that bad of a guy, but just terribly misunderstood. he decides to be myungsoo's friend.
+ burned [ open ] - myungsoo befriends this person and trusts them very much, too much that is as he naively thinks that they're actually friends. he ends up getting burned in the worst way.
