Slowly gods are coming to an end. The god year coming to an end as only two years are left for them to live of course if they decide on making a new generation god, their lifespan would increase as well, but for that they need to sign a contract with another soul.

If they ignore the needs of higher ups once they die they go to hell and gods know that it's not kids are told in stories. There they would be endlesly tortured.
