songbird records started off as a sublabel called dragon star studios. the company was known for its young soloists and producers at the begining. after a few years, the former ceo was caught in a huge scandel along with one of the female artists that was signed to the company. taeyeon decided to take over the company during all that and changed the name to songbird records as well as cutting all ties to the father company. although the small company took a hit after the scandal, songbird records turned things around after a few years of keeping quiet. with soloists being the main face of the company, many young trainees join with high hopes of being in a group or become a soloist
