Long ago, when the Kingdom of Pyeogyo was divided into four tribes, mankind knew naught of peace, bloodshed was the norm and everyday was a struggle to live another day — the survival of the fittest.
❝ Children of Earth, for why are we pointing our swords at each others’ throats, for why do we destroy what Nature has blessed us with to paint them over with blood drained out of fellow brothers’ and sisters’ veins?
A saviour’s voice is heard. Dal, a celestial being bigger than life itself, descended from the heavens to stop the war; all she had to do was lift a pinky. A peace treaty is enforced and a new era is born, split into four nations each with their own signature — Air, Earth, Fire and Water must learn to live with each other in harmony. 1 Pyeogyo, 4 Nations. 1 Dal, 4 Goddesses. They will all teach and learn from each other, evolve and advance in life hand in hand, every step of the way, forming the perfect synergy.
The citizens grew to be self sustainable, adaptable and independent on sourcing for their own necessities instead of resorting to war. Over time, bridges were built and the bond between the four nations were strengthened. Was this peace and harmony just the calm before a storm? Was Dal and her Votary a blessing or a curse?
It's 2023 and peace blankets the kingdom of Pyeogo. Would it be foolish and complacent to be contented for it? The powers of elemental bending could be tempting, after all, humans were born with greed. Will the new generation witness and live through war again? It is as someone once said…
Only the dead have seen the end of war.

general rules

favourite the rp and ensure your account is at least five (5) months old before commenting for your desired character with the proper comment format. new accounts who wish to join should have a current member vouch for them when resserving.

this is an oc rp that was built with the inspiration of atla behind the concept of elemental bending, as well as other korean myths. it is lore intensive and revolves around a handful of genres, hence, do take your time to read through everything and ask as many questions needed! the rp is interactive and will have a storyline to follow hence, every character's contribution is essential! there will be events hosted to move the plot along and most would be mandatory so we ask each mun to consider their schedule before joining us. the pace picks up when certain events are ongoing. literate, no one liners, short threads welcomed!

due to the nature of the rp, there will be threads of mature genres hence, please keep in mind to label replies with a trigger warning should it contain violence, mentions of death, gore, etc. ic drama is highly encouraged! ensure all parties involved have consented before proceeding. is allowed in rooms that are marked with the rated [m] sign.

the ooc chat is for writers to brainstorm and have fun reacting to plots & connections together, please do not treat it as a rant chat! be mindful and respectful of everyone. there should be no ual topics at any point. talks on other rps and users are also strictly prohibited. the safe phrase is "dal triumph" should there be an uncomfortable topic circulating the chat. immediately cease and change the conversation.

pre-establishing connections (siblings, cousins, friends, enemies, lovers be it dating or married or broken up or divorced, etc) and plots is allowed so long as you continue to reach out to more muns once you're in the rp. connecting with just 1-3 of your friends will be considered bubble rping and is prohibited. godmodding, bullying, face and user chasing are also banned. please avoid pre-plotted endgames. although it is fine if all involving parties consent, we would like to emphasise on pyeogyo's storyline.

A full profile has to be done within 10 days. it does not need to be in a layout or padlet/carrd; as long as there is sufficient information to plot and connect with your character, we'll consider it as profile done. a thread has to be posted within 18 days. failure to meet these requirements will result in character deactivation.

all orientations welcomed. dating ban of 2 weeks and 2 completed threads between your character and their love interest. marriage is up to the muns to decide. we'll like to emphasise on character arcs and contributing to the rp's storyline instead of focusing on a romantic endgame. characters as parents are allowed to have children through pre-established connections, but the child(ren) will be an npc and shall have no faceclaim. however, please get approval from the admins first. on another note, pregnancy is determined by dice roll, and you can proceed to inform an admin about your ic pregnancy.

ic death(s) are allowed (and is bound to happen) but will be subjected to admin's approval. maximum 2 ic deaths per mun; the faceclaim will be banned from rping thereafter.

failure to abide any rules or heed the admin team's advice/warning/tag will result in a strike. the 3rd time a writer fails to cooperate with us will result in an immediate kick out of the roleplay and the user will be prohibited from rejoining.

the admin team reserves the rights to reject applications should we find anything problematic or unsuitable, and to revise rules as we move along to make this space as comfortable and fun for all.
activity rules
001
inactivity set to 21 days. you will be given 48 hours to clear the inactive sign; however, the next time you go inactive will result in an automatic kick and you will be unable to reclaim your character for 72 hours.

before hiatus is granted, please ensure each character you hold has a complete profile with at least 1 ongoing thread.

maximum duration of 4 weeks for both hiatus and semi-hiatus. however, those on semi-hiatus will be required to post at least once (sns, thread, plots & connections, headcanons) during their rest period. there will be a cooldown period of 4 weeks before you can request for another hiatus.

only korean nationalities allowed. muses must be at least 21 years of age both ic and ooc (born in 2002 or earlier).

you may alter the age of your oc character +/- by 5 years. although elemental bending is involved in this rp, you may choose to build a character who is unable to element bend.

cc limit of 1 faceclaim per character per month. oc name changes are unlimited but do try to keep it to a minimum. changing of nations and roles will be subjected to admin's approval as it might affect the rp's storyline.

we are allowing a total of 2 identical twin slots. this means you and another mun will be sharing the same faceclaim. the admin team will verify that both parties have agreed and consented to sharing the same faceclaim before adding the reservation. [current availability: 2/2]

no muses who are married, deceased, controversial or those who have explicitly mentioned that they do not want to be rped.
