@「☣」 lee kiseop - time control Baekhyun stood up and dusted himself off after calming down. He stepped outside and looked at his best friend sighing in the hallway. He heard him mutter something and asked, "Hey, is anything wrong?" he said, patting Kiseop's shoulder.

Walks in and looks around the place and smiles.

@「☼」 byun baekhyun - light Kiseop leaned on the wall, breathing out. He didn't know if he should continue to stay inside Baekhyun's room. He's his best friend, but it's awkward to feel secrecy between both of them. "Things are getting weirder and weirder," he uttered, looking up the ceiling.

@「☣」 lee kiseop - time control Baekhyun watched Kiseop leave the room and sighed in relief. He almost slipped there. He didn't exactly lie, he just kept the truth from him. And he really didn't cry at his parents' funeral, they didn't deserve it.

@「☼」 byun baekhyun - light Kiseop bobbed his head up and down. He couldn't understand Baekhyun at that moment. "O-kay," he answered, furrowing his eyebrows. He glanced at him, noticing the ice slowly melting. "Uh... I'll get more ice and a towel," he stated, excusing himself as he left the room to get more ice to replace the melted ones.

@「❅」teacher lee jinki - frost Kiseop furrowed his eyebrows. He'd never expect a teacher act that way. He thought all teachers were perfectionists and formal. "Ah. Mianhae, songsaenim," he apologized, bowing his head.

@「☣」 lee kiseop - time control Baekhyun closed his eyes and cursed himself for speaking without thinking. His tongue just slipped. "I, uh, meant a normal kid would cry at his parents' funeral. I didn't." he replied.

@「☣」 lee kiseop - time control Jinki noticed his react. "Hey~ Be cool bro. I may be a teacher, but a good friend too..." He said and smiles at him.

@「☼」 byun baekhyun - light Kiseop was left with a blank expression on his face. "Dude, please tell me you're being sarcastic," he stated with his eyes widening, feeling awkwardness between them.

@「☣」 lee kiseop - time control He chuckled. "Well, you're right about my life being unusual. I mean, a normal kid would not do that to his parents." he replied mindlessly.

@「☼」 byun baekhyun - light Baekhyun's answers sorta added to Kiseop's suspicions. Honestly, even if Baekhyun did do it, he wouldn't care at all. Besides he was his best friend after all. "I envy you because I'm really interested in unusual lives," he bluntly replied.

Baekhyun smirked at Kiseop's response. He was suspecting him. Of course he did. "I don't know. It could be anyone. They had the uncanny ability to piss anyone and everyone off. I'm amazed as to how I put up with them all those years." he said, laughing darkly.

"And please, don't be envious, unless you have a strange love for all things violent and abusive." he added. He leaned on the headboard of his bed and adjusted his shirt, trying to hide his scars. What was he hiding them from? They were out of Kiseop's sight. Baekhyun just wanted to forget that they were there. He sighed.

@「☼」 byun baekhyun - light "Wow," Kiseop uttered, blinking. No wonder Baekhyun acted that way. "Dude, I don't know if I should be sorry or envy for that," he stated. "So who do you think murdered them?" he asked him, taking a deep breath in. He was preparing if ever he would get tackled again because of that question. While listening to every word he heard him say, 'murd,' which gave him an idea it was a murder. He had a strange feeling he was hiding something about his background.

@Kiseop(Time Control) He chuckled at his response but Baekhyun felt himself shudder when Kiseop asked him the question. He really didn't want to dwell on those things again, but if Kiseop can bare out his soul to his best friend, then so can he.

"Well, as you can probably deduce, my childhood was hell. I don't even think you can call it a childhood. My birth parents were like demons. Buttface dad was a drunk and eyesore mom... let's call her an . They beat me and they didn't even tell me what I was doing wrong. I wasn't even supposed to be born, I knew it. But I was an early bloomer when it came to my abilities. That's when practice came. I honed my skills at midnight, when I knew they were asleep and when my light could be seen. This kept happening until I was about 11, when they found out. Those s didn't have powers, so it made them hate me even more." he said, clenching his fists. He exhaled and continued. "My power may seem shallow because it looks like I can just turn off light switches and become a human candle. Well, wrong. By the time I was 15, my heart was almost empty of patience for those two. I could build deadly things with my light and I could blind others at will. When there's light, there's always darkness next to it. I pretty much embodied that concept back then.

So my 'unfortunate' parents passed away in an accident..." he looked down. "Dad fell from the second floor and got impaled by our metal fence. Gruesome, but strangely relieving. Mom gradually went insane and died because she had these hallucinations... that I had nothing to do with. Their murd-" he paused and spoke again "-deaths were ignored because the police couldn't find any proper evidence since the only fingerprints on them were of themselves. Like the murderer never even touched them.

Luckily for me, my old neighborhood wasn't all bad. I had these kind neighbors who I always visited before I started 'practicing'. They felt so sad, seeing me alone at the funeral. So they adopted me, not even knowing what they were getting into. But to be honest, I loved those two. Those were my real parents. The ones who actually cared for me and looked out for me. He's a college professor of psychology and she's a curator at a zoological museum. And to think people called me an idiot, for being quiet in class. I didn't need to be in class. These two had me covered." he added, smiling during those last few words.

"They knew about my powers. And still, with that in mind, they loved me enough to send me to an elite school like this. Even if sometimes you might hear me insult them, don't worry, because that's just our way of showing our affection to eachother. Trust me, my dad is just as sarcastic as I am." he said, chuckling.

"So, now I'm here. I miss them like hell, but I'm free."

@Baekhyun(Light) Kiseop nodded. Everything was blank. He could wish it was... Like a story he could just rewrite. As he felt Baekhyun lean closer, he glanced at him. "Dude, I swear... You look creepy," he stated as he pushed him away. He took a deep breath in and out. "Long story, short. I was given away to an orphanage when my mom re-married. I had to stay there for about 2 years until I sneaked out... and well... An old lady brought me back to the orphanage," he stopped for a minute and remembered the woman's face as his hands closed to a fist. He thought he was free, but that old woman changed it. "Then I had to wait till I finally got adopted which took about... 5 years or so," he stated, ending his sentence. He shrugged, trying to brush away the memories. "How 'bout yous?" he asked as he faced him.

@Kiseop(Time Control) Kiseop looked almost expressionless to Baekhyun. All he could see were comforting eyes when Kiseop said he understood him. Kind of. Something was off. But Baekhyun could tell that this guy was someone he could trust. For once he had a best... friend.

"You feel the pain, too?" he asked, curious. His eyes turned sinister. "Tell me more." he added, leaning forward.

@Baekhyun(Light) *Oh god, I feel like a psychologist,* Kiseop thought. He listened closely to Baekhyun's words. He nodded after each word. He had a blank expression on his face. He finally understood why he was acting that way. "I get it... And I feel your pain," he answered. Their past was almost the same, but it seems like Baekhyun's was even darker.

@「❅」teacher lee jinki - frost Kiseop shrugged. It really felt awkward for him to hangout with a teacher. "Uh... I'm fine, songsaenim... I... I'm Kiseop," he answered, his hands were shaking. He did have a bad history with teachers that's why he isn't comfortable.

@Kiseop(Time Control) Baekhyun just smirked, adjusting his position on the bed. Kiseop sounded just like all his old therapists. He never opened up to them, or anyone, really.

"Okay, I'll just give you some keywords from my life. Maybe that will help you figure it out." he said, his expression getting dark. He shut his eyes and tightened his fists, thinking of few words that could sum up whatever happened to him. He gritted his teeth and started talking. "Birth. Hell. Practice. Death. Adoption. Purgatory. Freedom." he managed to choke out.

His expression suddenly changed into a smile. "That good enough for ya?"

@Baekhyun(Light) Kiseop shook his head and sat down on Baekhyun's bed. "Mr. Byun Baekhyun, what is it? If it's a dramatic story, I'm willing to listen. As if I've got anything to do right now," he stated, darting his eyes on Baekhyun. *Wait, what the heck. Did I just sound like Kevin?!* he thought, shaking his head to clear his thoughts.

@Kiseop(Time Control) "Nae~ Annyeong" He replied and smiled at the active kid. "So how are you? hm... Your name?" he asked the boy. He felt the boy was a bit in fear. So he made the moment cooler by putting his arm around his shoulder and went inside with him.

@Kiseop(Time Control) Baekhyun suddenly opened his eyes and quickly fixed his facial expression when Kiseop asked him something. He even tugged on his shirt so it would go lower and cover the scars. "Yeah, I'm fine. Nothing to worry about." he said, trying to sound as convincing as possible. He loosened the grip on the ice pack so it wouldn't press on his lower back so roughly. He sighed and sat up, pulling his shirt down so it covered his back completely.

@「❅」teacher lee jinki - frost Kiseop was about to open the door, until someone barged in. He looked at the figuring, noticing it was one of their teachers. "Ah... annyeong songsaenim," he greeted him, bowing awkwardly. He wasn't completely used to talking to teachers, he happen to try to avoid them.

@Baekhyun(Light) Kiseop got back with the pillows Baekhyun would be using. He placed them on each side of the bed. Lucky it wasn't the cylindrical pillows that would roll over afterwards. He glanced at him, noticing the expression on his face. "Dude, are you... alright?" he asked him, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. He knew Baekhyun was in pain, but the look on his face was something worse.

@Kiseop(Time Control) Baekhyun rubbed the ice pack on his back as Kiseop went to get some pillows. It was really helping the pain even though some parts of his skin were uneven because of burn scars on his back. He was alone in his room when thoughts of his past seeped into the back of his mind. Baekhyun shook his head, trying to forget them. He pushed harder on the ice pack; maybe the cold sting would help him forget.

@Baekhyun(Light) Kiseop followed, rolling his eyeballs. "I'll go get more pillows," he stated as he left the room looking for more pillows in case Baekhyun falls while rolling on the bed. He might not be trained in first aid, but he did experience babysitting a lot.

@Kiseop(Time Control) Baekhyun sighed. Clearly this kid wasn't faced with many childhood or teenage injuries. He was forced to learn first aid, whether he liked it or not, he needed it. "Just toss me the ice bag!" he said, catching it as Kiseop followed his orders. Baekhyun groaned in pain as he rolled on the bed. With his front facing the bed sheets, he slowly pulled up the lower part of his shirt and put the ice pack on the painful area.

@Baekhyun(Light) "Alright, alright. Shiesh, since when did my grandmother get here?" Kiseop answered back. He walked towards the fridge and got a bag of ice. As he walked back in Baekhyun's dorm a question suddenly entered his mind. "Dude, how'd you even put this ice if you can't put it underneath?" he asked him. He wasn't really introduced to first aid properly that's why he seems retarded when asked to aid people.

@Kiseop(Time Control) Baekhyun groaned as Kiseop held out his hand. He covered his face with his left arm and tried to swat Kiseop's hand away with his other hand. "No. Get ice. Don't help me get up, you idiot, that will make the pain worse." he said, muffling his voice with his arm.
