In some ways Joohyuk reminded him of a stereotypical alpha: strong, stubborn, and slightly aloof. That had been his experience with many of the alphas he'd met other than his dad. Then again, he seemed shy, maybe a bit clueless and even possibly...lonely. Ji was no stranger to those feelings, so he didn't take offense to the other's answer. Instead, he closed his notebook and put it back in his bag. "Is there somewhere specific you'd like to eat or I could make us lunch if you'd prefer." He shrugged slightly, not really minding either option.

He's simply clueless with certain things especially with academic related stuff but he sure want to know as much as he can if it means passing the subject and not be chewed out by his guardian again. "Whatever you say." He simply responded with a nod of his head and started packing his things, closing his blank notebook and placing his pen inside his jacket's inner pocket. "So where are we going after this?" He inquired, not really sure of what the other has in mind.

"I think it would, but it will also help you in the future." Hey smiled at his partner. It had only been a few years since he'd needed help learning such things. After being out of school for 3 years, he hadn't remembered much of what he'd learned prior. It had been slow going at first, but once he'd gotten it, he breezed through a few of his classes with little problem. Science was one of them.

I wondered as I glance at his notebook filled with his notes. It was just so unusual for anyone to be offering such thing to me since no one really cares around here. "If it would make us finish this thing faster then okay." I shrugged lightly, accepting his offer needing to understand our project's concept so that I could work properly on it too. I have been attending classes with the least interest and so I never really listened to the lectures. I dont take down notes or whatsoever so it quite helpful for him to be offering to teach me the subject matter.
@α❅nam joohyuk Jiyong could hear something familiar in the boy's tone when he said he wanted to help, but he couldn't quite place it. Instead, he watched the kid for a moment. He had an odd feeling that he needed to go for a run suddenly. It would have to wait until after class though. That was likely the only way to calm himself down. He may not have gotten sick without his mate being near, yet, but he was getting closer everyday. Right now though, he was just unable to rein his temper in, even if he had no reason to be mad. Right now, he didn't. At the next statement, it hit him. The kid wasn't trying to get out of work, he just had trouble with the subject. He could certainly understand. When he saw the empty notebook, he smiled a bit. "I have a better idea. Why don't we go get lunch after class and I can try to explain it in a way that would make sense. This," He said it with a gesture to all the notes he'd taken, "is all just technical. If you don't get it, I can make it easier. What do you say?" He hoped the other would accept.
@α❅kwon jiyong I understood what has to be done in order for this group work to get done but I wasn't just good with interacting with people yet. "I want to help." I made it clear that I wasn't planning to let him do all the work in the end sensing that he's somewhat annoyed and irritable with me already. I cant afford to have another person dislike me having others feeling the same way already. Besides, I don't have enough courage to go tell the teacher that I want to work alone. It's too bothersome for me and hassle. "Just tell me what I have to do." I said with a soft sigh and nodded, ready to simply follow whatever task he would give so that we would accomplish our group work. I fiddled with my notebook that has been close since the beginning of the class and turned it to the very first page, the paper still free of any sort of writings or mark. I reached inside my jacket's pocket and took out a pen, turning my attention back to him and ready to write the things we or I would have to do for the project. I may not be comfortable working in a group yet but I guess I would need to get myself at least used to it.
@nam joohyuk One thing that had always been true for the alpha was his compassion. If he knew the other was simply uncomfortable with group work, he would have done his best to make it easier. Right now though, he was trying to include the boy as much as possible. At the answer, he sigh audibly. "Look, I'm trying to include you since we'll both be graded on this, but if you don't want to help then just say so. Maybe the teacher will let us work alone." He didn't mean to snap, but it was so frustrating and he already had so much to deal with, especially with his mate having been gone for so long. He was getting more and more irritable, but he knew the boy needed the time to take care of important things, so he was trying very hard not to snap at people.

I was starting to wonder, starting to feel the burden of being in a group assignment. Being asked with a question, I could simply shrug having no particular smell I like. I occasionally enjoy smelling the flowers in the school garden having been spending most of my time there now but I cannot really say that I like them cause sometimes their smell is just overwhelming and irritates my sinuses. "You choose." It was what I can only contribute at the moment, letting the other choice so we could quickly decide what we're gonna do.
@nam joohyuk His smile faltered just for a moment when the other male didn't introduce himself as well. The old Ji would have gotten mad, but he now understood that not everyone had parents like he'd had. His parents had made sure he and his nuna knew that manners were important and that you should always try your best. That's what he did. When the other boy sat, he held back a sigh. Instead, he sat too. "So, I was thinking the first things we should do is decide what scent we want our soap to have. Do you have any smells you like?" Ji loved lavender, vanilla, and anything that smelled of fresh rain. All of the smells reminded him of outdoors, but the first two also reminded him of his mom. He didn't want to decide everything though.
@mark tuan Donghyuk casually walked into the chemistry classroom, slinging his backpack over his shoulder before spotting a familiar figure in the back of the room. With a wide grin, he enthusiastically waved his arm, "Mark!" He bounded over to the male, not paying attention to any of the other students that might be looking at them.
He was determined to be friends with the other student but so far, the beta was shy and quiet. Ignoring everything, he moved closer to Mark, wrapping an arm around his shoulders, "Did you study for the chem exam? Because I didn't and I'm so screwed. Curse you past me!" He raised his fist in mockery before playfully smiling at the other male.

Me on the other hand? I just have my empty notebook open, too lazy to right down anything and just tries my best to listen and keep awake in class. He introduced himself and I can only bring myself to answer with a slight nod. Im still not used to socializing and still end up being awkward and silent around people I just met. I sat down then, my chair slightly facing his way and simply waited to for him to take the initiative to take the lead in this assignment cause clearly, Im not gonna be the one to do so.
@nam joohyuk This was one of his favorite classes and he loved experiments. He had talked to their teacher the day before, because he'd be missing a few classes soon, so he knew they'd be doing partner work. He didn't mind as long as he didn't end up doing most of the work, not that he couldn't. With a bunch of notes in his notebook and the teacher finally talking about the assignment, he looked up at him. The man clearly liked him and he liked the teacher. He wondered who he'd be paired with, but it didn't really matter. He always got A's in science and chemistry was his favorite among the sciences offered. Looking around when he found out who his partner was to be, he noticed it was the kid who sat in the back away from everyone else and who rarely if ever talked. Oh boy. This would certainly be interesting. Why'd the teacher pair him with this guy? Oh well. He'd just have to deal with it and hope the other would at least do some of the work. He couldn't be all just because he was quiet, right? When everyone began moving, he stood and grabbed his stuff. He then turned and smiled at his partner, before motioning to the back corner where no one was, so they could talk without yelling over the den of noise that was rising. "Hi. I'm Jiyong."
@α❅kwon jiyong As usual, I sat at the back of the class away from the others and sat there silently as i just try to get through another hour of chemistry lesson. I dont really like the subject and most of the time I have no idea what the teacher is talking about. Glancing at my watch, I was sort of looking forward for the class to finally end only having 15 mins. left on the clock. "Alright. We're gonna have a group work for this subject." The teacher said and clapped his hands as he called everyone's attention. "I'll pair you up in two's and you have to make a soap just like how I showed you guys earlier." He said, eyeing each one of the students and lastly landed his eyes on me. I sat there and simply nodded, telling him I got what he meant since he might have thought I wasn't listening. "I'll pair you up." He added and started going through his class record, calling names and pairing up students until my name was called. "Nam Joohyuk." He looked my way and I blinked softly. Hearing my name being called and having some of the students look my way made me felt a bit anxious but I tried my best to keep my cool. "You'll be working with Kwon Jiyong." He said specifically and pointed the other end of the pen he was holding towards the direction of another young man who was sitting a few seats in front of me. I nodded slightly, not really liking the idea of having to work in group, most especially in pair but I couldn't bring myself to tell the teacher about it and so I just sighed to myself and slowly stood up from my seat as the other students were starting to move and meet their partners for the project.
@α❄nam woohyun✧ Hyungwon winced a bit, hanging his head low as the teacher called him an idiot, which he deserved since he didn't listen and created all of this mess, not following the instructions the right way, or following any instructions at all. "Clean this up. Detention for the whole week, after every last period in this room. Starting tomorrow. With me in charge." The teacher said and left the room, and Hyungwon let out a soft sigh he didn't even know he was holding in as he rubbed his face a bit, ruffling his hair, thinking of the mistake he made and how he should have been more careful and actually listened in on what the teacher was saying. It wouldn't result in Woohyun getting hurt, or him getting hurt. But him being hurt meant nothing, he just felt bad and guilty for making Woohyun feel the pain of the scratches on his face, and the ointment that the nurse probably is using right now to clean his wounds properly. He sighed once again, heading to the storage room to take a broom and a cloth, wetting the cloth as he wiped the table clean, wiping it with a dry cloth afterwards, then he started swiping the floor with the broom, in quick motions, throwing the pieces of the broken glass in the trashbin, getting cut before throwing them. Hissing in pain, he retracted his hand to his body, frowning a bit for not being careful enough, since the only thought in his head was Woohyun and how he got hurt and how is he now, is he okay, where is he? He didn't mind staying back in detention, he usually stayed in detention since he didn't really like writing homework, he was too lazy to solve all the problems given in math, so he usually stayed back in detention, all alone, scribbling something in his notebook instead or solving the problems again. The last thing he was worried about was detention, and the person he worried about now is Woohyun and his whereabouts. Since the teacher said that the detention starts tomorrow, Hyungwon put the broom and the wet cloth back to the storage room, taking long and quick steps to the infirmary room, to check on Woohyun. He peeked into the room, looking at the nurse and Woohyun for a moment, staying like that, unnoticable.

I don't want you to get permanent damage because your classmate is an idiot." The male who was spoken too bowed apologetically and left the room quickly. Taking long steps he almost ran into the direction of the infirmary. He only felt embarressed to have a friend like Hyungwon and that when at the same time he really liked him and felt sorry that the boy now would have to clean the mess all by himself. "Hey young man!" Woohyun would have walked past the infirmary if not for the young nurse. He shook his head and took a step into her direction. "I um... I got hurt during a failed chemistry experiment...", he explained blushing deeply as he felt totally dumb when it wasn't even his fault. Following the girl inside he showed her the cuts on his hands and those in his face. She carefully treated them but the ointment she poured into the cuts smarted badly and he now whished he would've just kept walking. "Hyungwon...", he whispered softly wanting someone to hug.
@nam woohyun As he picked up all of the pieces of the broken glass, he made his way to the garbage bin, ignoring Woohyun's words for a moment before he came back, an apologetic look on his face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, really. I would never hurt you like this or let you get hurt like this. The lack of my attention and focus - I'm at fault. And I'm really sorry. I can't even express with words how much I'm sorry." He said, looking down as he apologized for what he has done, biting onto his lower lip as he hears footsteps approaching the two of them. Looking up at the teacher, Hyungwon bowed politely, fiddling with his fingers. "Saem! It was me, I'm at fault. I'll stay after school hours, to serve detention or something. Woohyun hasn't done anything - I'm the one that lacked attention, I caused all of this. But now, can I take him to the nurse's office? He's got some deep cuts on his hands." He said, and asked, as he looked into the teacher's eyes, not even caring if he puts him in detention for like a month, or more. He was feeling really guilty because Woohyun was shocked, angry and injured just because he wasn't listening in class- again. Words couldn't make an appropriate excuse for what he's done, and he kept thinking that he should probably bother and annoy Woohyun out of class, probably out of all classes - to avoid situations from happening, like this one.
@Ω❅ chae hyungwon Woohyun was more shocked than angry but he still couldn't understand how his friend could have been so careless especially when the professor had mentioned to pay attention to which liquid to put at first. His hands had some deep cuts that started bleeding but he couldn't feel it yet because of the shock only feeling numbness where the glass had touched his skin. "Gosh...", he breathed out not even thinking about sitting down again. "Why is my friend such an idiot?", he wondered while he stood up feeling his legs shaking not wanting to carry his weight. He waited for Hyungwon to clean up everything since he wasn't able help his friend much. "Can't you watch out and think about your actions once?" His voice was unusually calm as he focused on the omega. Just then the bell rang indicating that the lesson and with that their school day was over. The teacher had noticed the mess by now walking up in front of their desk. "You two... what did you even think you were doing?" Woohyun opened up his mouth and closed it again unsure of what to reply.

Looking over to Woohyun, he sighed softly as he realized that nothing had happened to him, luckily. He wanted to laugh at the reaction he gave him, but he knew better - and he didn't want him getting angry with him since he couldn't bother or annoy him then anymore. He ducked his head politely, in a bow to apologize for what he has done. "I'm sorry, I should have paid attention to what I was doing. I'll clean it up, just sit down." He said, nodding his head lightly as he got up too, pushing Woohyun's shoulders lightly down, to sit him back down onto the chair he's been sitting on. Smiling slightly as he turned around and bent over to pick up the pieces of the broken glass, he hummed a melody to himself, not really caring if Woohyun will think that he's a lunatic - he got an reaction from him - doesn't matter how. Although, he did feel bad for not paying attention and for bringing the male sitting beside him in danger, he didn't mean to, but he did it anyway because of the lack of focus on the notes and the teacher as he was busy bothering Woohyun.
@Ω❅ chae hyungwon Woohyun had been trying to ignore Hyungwon for the past thirty minutes. Up until now that had worked out because he was already used to it from other subjects. Paying attention to the teacher and noting something down once in a while made it possible to blank out the the other's voice completely. By the end of the lesson they were told to make an experiment which wasn't even that difficult, but it was important to out liquid A before liquid B otherwise it would lead into an explosion. And that was exactly what happened right at that moment. Before he could even think about started he heard a loud pang seeing the glass burst, the pieces scattering all over the table. Thankfully he managed to protect his face with his hands in time, so that only his hands would have bloody scrapes. "Hyungwon... Oh my god you're an idiot..." Those were the first words he said to him in an hour but he was freaked out unable to think of the tone he was using. "Aish... ." Quickly he got up. "At least we have to clean it."

Chuckling a bit, Hyungwon nudged the male beside him gently and teasingly, just because he chose to ignore his calls and all the paper balls he threw at him. Woohyun being Woohyun, probably not wanting to alert the teacher that they're not doing the assignment the right way, he chose to ignore Hyungwon and Hyungwon didn't really like that. He liked Woohyun more when he gave him some kind of a reaction, it made him more fun and more silly. Nudging him again, Hyungwon sighed softly to himself, not yet ready to surrender, but close to it because of the lack of attention from the male beside him. "Woohyun ah." He whispered, calling him again, then nudging his leg with his lightly, just to get a reaction of some kind. "Oh come on. I know you hear me. It's boring to annoy you and seeing you give me no reaction whatsoever." He said, pouting slightly as he tilted his head to the side, looking at the male beside him. Frowning slightly, he let it go for a few moments, pouring a chemical into a glass with another chemical without paying attention, like usual - he didn't really like going to class, but having Woohyun by his side made it a lot better.
