/in my hurry, i rush all over the apartment to gather my things. i check my reflection one last time after stepping into similarly coloured pumps. the dress that had intended to be knee length reached around an inch shorter on my legs, lengthening their appearance almost too much. i shake the insecurity away - there wasn't much time to dwell on that now - and quickly grab a classic trenchcoat to drape over my shoulders before heading out to find you. It wasn't a difficult feat. With your height and looks, you would stick out like a sore, yet neatly manicured, thumb.
