There was nothing more irritating than to have a nice nap, disrupted by the sounds of blaring bells and rustling of heavy boots against the creaking wooden floors. It was safe to say Byulyi wanted to murder the nearest person; Which was, in hindsight, no one as she was the only person residing in the infirmary cabin. She would never let another member work with her unless they showed competence which came rare, to her at least. Only a few over the years, more in the recent times, have demonstrated actual intelligence, she grumbled in her thoughts. Her hair was bundled messily on the top of her head, resembling a bird's nest one migjt say. Her eyes, weary and barely awake, had dark bags hanging from them as she struggled to pry open the cabin door, the moonlight providing the only source of light for vision. With the bells that echoed in the late night, only one person was permitted to do so and get away with it.
The following scene surprised her. More rather, not necessarily the sight but what she heard. To pledge to the kingdom? To equal the ship? Byulyi tightened her arms around herself as she dug her hands further around the wool cloth, warming her fingers. Her only goal when she had begun was to gain information, not to kneel to the very blood that she despised. Her teeth sunk into her lower lip in deep thought as she eyed Lalisa pledging. Despite her being new compared to her years and years of voyaging, she was a strong woman. Most definitely one to rival the disgusting men on board. But she just could not fathom why she would say her allegiance so easily. They were pirates, first off. Calmer than other crews but pirates nonetheless. Secondly, she would rather fight and die on the field against noble blood than to work for them. Thinking so, what was she supposed to do in this situation? Byulyi shuffled around before finding her place further to the side, but close enough to still hear the following members pledging their loyalty. The only phrase that flashed through her mind was as following: And what now Moon Byulyi?
@Wu Yifan [H] The loud tones were ringing throughout the ship and had only disturbed Lisa because it was during one of her late night experimentations. She frowned lightly, confusion on her face as she gathered her things and running a hand through her hair to straighten it before stepping out of her area. She was separated from the usual quarters since she spent her nights working or experimenting. The stains on her hands were efficiently wiped away with a rag as she approached the source of the loud tones. Lisa gathered in the crowd with the others, a light frown on her face as she realized the seriousness of the situation.
The purpose behind this sudden gathering was surprising to say the least, Lisa hadn't anticipated the demand to pledge their allegiance to a kingdom. It's not what pirates were, they were essentially criminals in the eyes of the people and especially in the eyes of the royal. She could only assume there was another motive behind this decision since the captain didn't strike her as the type to bow to another's rule. The demand confused Lisa for obvious reasons but she was well aware of her position and knew he was being kind for not killing them if they chose otherwise, that was enough for her to decide. She stepped forward with her eyes hard and impassive as she met his gaze and spoke, "I'll pledge my loyalty to the king." It wasn't lost on Lisa that her position on the ship was quite good and in the end, she wanted to see where this would lead them since it hinted at a serious conflict that is better resolved with allies by their side.

He released the leather strap and grasped the rope beneath the bell to cause a grand tolling to ring aboard, just from momentum of the bell falling from it's rest. The tones rang loudly, if a bit discordant-- obviously a war bell versus a musical bell. When he knew the awakened crew had assembled about him, groggy and grumpy from being so crudely torn from their rest, Kris drew a deep breath. 'This is going to be interesting.'
"Hear me well fer I speak but once." He projected his voice loudly, but not harshly, his baritone remaining pleasant if a bit deep; his brogue was apparent but not brash, lilting slowly to maintain his calm stream of energy. "I made a pledge to te true, teh royal King of Tradia; now must ye if ye be loyal to this ship." His gaze panned over each startled individual and he merely smirked. "Ye don't trust your ol captain? In times o hardship, friends cannot be too few. Arr dutiful King is enduring such calamity, and he cannot be without aide. Who arr we-" his arm stretched out to gesture at a few of them, "to turn an tuck tail? on arr friends?" He chuffed and offered a sincere grin. "if ye desire not ta travel to the castle ta swear your loyalty, ye have no business aboard the Dragon Goddess." Blunt, yes. Kind, yes. Better than slaughtering them if they dared commit treason, like any other... pirate. would.
