take a stroll and have a picnic.

@frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ "Maybe I expected to see you flailing around like a true drunk." Maria admitted with a shrug, she picked up the bottle of gin and took another drink of it. "You did ask to come." She said after taking her drink.
frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ 3 years ago
@maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ "I might be," Frank chuckled taking drag of his cigarette. "After all, alcohol shows your true colours," he exclaimed leaning his head back. "Why did you come?"
maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ 3 years ago
@frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ "This is some break." She snorted and leaned back with her arms supporting her weight. "You know, you're a bigger baby than I thought when you drink."
frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ 3 years ago
@maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ "Social distancing." Frabk grinned. "I think I needed a break," Frank said taking the bottle from Maria, taking a sip.
maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ 3 years ago
@frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ "Nope, not at all." Maria said as she started laughing, surprised by the sudden action. She held the bottle up to her nose before taking a swig of the drink, it made her scrunch her face up a little and smack her lips together. "The hell made you come out here in the first place?"
frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ 3 years ago
@maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ Frank passed the bottle a great grin on his face. "You know this won't end well." Frank said falling over in Maria's lap.
maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ 3 years ago
@frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ "Of course I came, what if you fall in a ditch?" She asked rhetorically before chuckling, she sat down on the ground next to Frank with her legs crossed and nodded her head. "Give it here." She said with her hand out for the bottle.
frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ 3 years ago
@maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ "There's no one else," Frank slurred his words as he looked at The approaching Mairia. "You really came," he opened his arms welcoming. "Uhm," he looked at his bottle, "alcohol?" He looked at Maria with a questioning look.
maria r。ᵐᵃʳᶦ 3 years ago
@frank d。ᵒᵘᵗᵒᶠˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ () I swear there was a field around here or I must be blind

Maria snorted at the posts Frank was making in the chatroom on the app, she could imagine Frank lazily rolling around on the ground as he sloppily texted with one hand, probably not even looking at his phone. She had to fight herself to get up from her bed but the sight of drunk Frank made it worth it, she walked closer to the field by the park and once she spotted her drunk friend on the ground she ran over to him with glee. "I thought you were supposed to stay inside with the doors lock when you drink, I know I have to." She said as leaned over his body and looked at him with a wide grin. "What are you drinking?"

@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ "Pleasure is all mine, lady Neta," Aidan said, standing upright again, with his hands once again clasped behind his back. He was smiling the half smile he wore to show comfort and a pleasant emotion, the side effect of being actually frozen for such a long time. Some reflexes were, after all, ought to be somewhat distorted. He snickered at her salute, finding it rather funny. "I hope so," he responded to her expressed feelings, knowing somewhere in the pit of his stomach that, indeed, it was not going to be the last time they saw each other. "Also it does not feel like the first time, aye?" he said mischievously, however that proclamation had been sitting at the back of his head from the moment he had laid eyes on the young woman, Neta. All over, Aidan had the strange sensation of living through this before. Not now, not recently, but at some point in his life, this had already happened, he thought.

((Of course, we can do that :D I do not mind where, wherever you feel is the most sensible for the plot to progress :) ))

@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Neta shook her head and did small wave of her hand as she dismissed the other's apology with an understanding smile formed on her face. It was nothing he had to say sorry for, if anything she really shouldn't be talking to strangers, but in this case he was not much of a stranger anymore. Neta could hear the pride in Aidan's voice when he addressed his title, it only made her believe he truly was a pirate even more and how earnest he was. "Neta Alchimister, it's nice to you, Captain," she regarded his title in a playful tone and did a salute. "I feel like this won't be the last time we see each other," Neta had an inkling feeling the two might see each other at another place and time, the town wasn't that big so the possibility was there. She also had the urge to ask him if he was on the Imperial app, but that would mean revealing the status of her love life and how convinced she was to think an app would help her.

( Did you want to move over to the restaurant? Or we could go to the bookstore and pretend there's a cafe in there, whatever works :) )

@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ “Oh, right,” Aidan shuddered as if the coldest chills ran through his body. “Right, me apologies, how rude of me,” Aidan felt bad for not doing that before, however the whole situation just seemed so natural to him, that he felt like he knew the lady. While he really did not and vice versa. “The name is Captain Aidan Turner,” Aidan said with a proud tone, despite not having a vessel of which he could be the captain. Yet, for him, it was comparable to the title of a doctor or a judge, since being a captain in his day was just as hard. The crewmen were brutes, disgusting, filthy lowlifes that knew no better than get into drunken fist fights and be exiled on the sea to cause no more harm to the citizens. A captain of such a crew must have been really headstrong, self-assured with a ruling hand above them. It wasn’t easy, hell, it was horrific. Aidan bowed a little again, arm wrapped around his front, across his stomach, while the other lay still behind his back. It wasn’t a low bow, just a curtly one. “And ye’re, milady?” He stood up upright, his draped hand coming to gesture a ‘please go ahead’ motion, for the young lady to take her turn.
neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ 4 years ago
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Neta was amused by the ordeal, she didn't feel the need to be rewarded for such a small thing such as showing someone around, that kind of information should always be free. "Well, that was going to be my offer since you won't let me show you around without any repayment," Neta poked fun at the other, she turned herself towards him and clutched the handle of her purse. They were by the exit of the park but she wanted to be sure she was leaving with a person who had a name if anything happened to her "You know at this point you need to tell me your name,"
aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ 4 years ago
@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ Well, you see, that's not how a pirate life works,: Aidan chuckled under his breath as the young lady refused any repayment. He honored deals, much more now that he knows how bad it could turn if he changed the conditions or breached the deal altogether. "Coffee? Oh, I quite enjoy that devil's drink," Aidan admitted, giving the woman a half smile. "May I invite ye to a cup of coffee, now that ye've mentioned it," he chuckled, his hand doing the gesture of showing the way or invitation, since showing the way would be kind of undignified, he didn't know the way to any coffee places, except the Pet Cafe.

@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ It had to be longer than Neta thought, just the way he spoke seemed very old fashioned, if he told her he was a character from the book Moby Neta would have believed him on the spot. She chuckled accepting the other's answer, Neta was not one to press for more details when it came to another person's life, but she felt the need to know more about him. "There's no need to reward me," She said quickly with a shake of her head, she never had someone offer anything for a tour around town, as nice as it was she couldn't take it, it was against her principles. "Do you like coffee?" Neta was hesitantly asked, for how long it seemed he was frozen she wondered if he knew what coffee was.
aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ 4 years ago
@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ “A very long time,” Aidan sighed under his breath, more to himself than anything. He missed hundreds of years, hence he is the primary experimental object in the region. “I’m uncertain about the exact number and I’ve never fancied math, so I would lie if I told ye a number. Fer a very long time, that must suffice.” Aidan listened, in better spirits as he listened to the young lady talk again. “Terrific! We shall make a deal, aye? I don’t know what would be a satisfactory reward fer ye fer such an exquisite service, but ‘am sure we’ll reach an agreement, don’t ye? Me apologies, I’m not yet familiar with trading in this modern times. Perhaps a coin would do the job? Or some service in return? If I had me ship still, I would offer ye a cruise ride, but devastatingly, I don’t. So, we will have to define the deal in another way.”
neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ 4 years ago
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Neta nodded her head vigorously when he returned her question, only for her to look at the stranger with a humored expression and her green eyes flitted to a playful glare. " Humorous? Hm, then I guess being a time traveler was a pretty outrageous guess," She said with a little more thought. "So, you're not a time traveler but you were stuck in ice...for how long may I ask?" Neta thought he had to be another immortal being at this point, no regular human could wake up alive after being in ice for such a great amount of time. "Correct," Neta grinned, she noticed how careful he was with his words, it made him seem even more gentle than he appeared to be, especially with how he towered over her by a foot or two. "I can show you around and point out all the popular places, there's actually a lot of events going on as well, maybe you'll enjoy them. Also, you won't be a burden, it's pretty much my job to help people,"
aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ 4 years ago
@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ Aidan had taken a moment to thing about the first question fired at him. Of course there would be these questions, he had just walked up to a complete stranger, he should have known. "Time-traveler?" he chuckled. "That is quite humorous, I must say," he said with sincerity and a smile that as almost reaching his eyes. "It is a valid assumption, but the latter is the truth," he finished at that, almost feeling no necessity to elaborate, as if he assumed that the young lady knew exactly hat he meant. "So, as a local, ye might be able to help me navigate around town, is that correct? I wish to not complain and whine, god forbid, put any burden on ye, I do know a few landmark, but that's about it."
neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ 4 years ago
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ "Honestly," Neta said with a nod of her head and a wide smile, she wondered if he expected her to be from anywhere else, her parents were from Israel but they never made it a point to visit their childhood homes with Neta. "Huh?" Was about as much as she could say, she didn't want to look stupid but she was clueless when he started talking about his personal prison of ice. "Does that mean you're a time traveler of some sort? Did you get stuck in ice?" She asked, her voice going higher in pitch as she grew more curious with a bit of excitement, she wanted to know his story. Neta had met a lot of people and heard a lot of stories whenever she went to an event for her charities, but the person walking beside her had to be the most interesting of them all.
aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ 4 years ago
@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ "Honestly?" Aidan as amazed and somewhat impressed by the lady's revelation. He has not met too many resident so far, however he had heard that this town had a rich history, which he would not turn don to hear about. "Oh, I wouldn't know how it is right about now, although the last thing I do remember is obtaining me ship from the Lord Protector himself and voyaging out for the far south west. The port here the exchange happened as a decent one, so I recall, perhaps because it was a new structure. Other than that, I remember a strong stench of beer and whiskey. Pardon me memory, however it's gotten frightfully bad over the years on the sea. Whatnot, the time I spent in in the hell made of all ice, it ought to have done some damage to me brain," Aidan chuckled more to himself rather than out loud. He had been a loud person a long time ago, when he was a well respected Captain of his own crew at the sea, feared by many and enemy of even more. However the courage and fearlessness has literally melted away after he has awoken at the scientific laboratory just out of town.
neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ 4 years ago
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Neta looked at him with her eyes slightly widening and her arched eyebrows raising with surprise when the other bowed to her, it almost made her want to do a curtsy of her own in return. "Amazing," She murmured to herself as he came back up and they started walking again. Neta was once again confused by what the stranger meant by "not from the current Ireland" but she answered his question "I'm from around here, I've lived in this town my entire life," Neta said proudly, she probably sounded like one of the elders but she took pride in living in Magnolia, her family did a lot for the town than most would know of. "Ireland is beautiful, but what do you mean you don't come from the current Ireland?" at this point her curiosity was it's peak, it was almost like she was taking a walk with a fictional character instead of a normal person, not that any normal person had the amount of manners the stranger portrayed to her now.

@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ Aidan would probably never turn down an offer so kind from a young lady. One corner of gis mouth jutted up into a half smile, but a genuine one. “It would be me pleasure to keep ye company, milady,” he bowed to show courtesy before standing upright again beside the lady. Aidan locked his hands behind his back, one hand clasped around the other hand’s wrist joint. “I come from Ireland,” Aidan said with pride. “However, I must disappoint that not from the current Ireland,” Aidan added with a sad snort, glancing down under his feet as he walked with the young woman beside him. “Where do ye come from, milady? Of course, if ye do not mind me query,” Aidan said as politely as his old-fashioned manners would let him. After all, pirates were not most gentlemanly bunch of fellows, but they indeed carried a charm that solicited many ladies of various backgrounds back in the day. In the past, it was easier to behave like a gentleman. Nowadays, it appeared to Aidan much more difficult to show genuine concern or kindness, since many misunderstood his quite innocent actions for worse. Not to mention his scruffy looks that most likely only intimidated others, rather than charmed. That was how pirates were, intimidating in their entirety.
neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ 4 years ago
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Neta's lips shaped into a small "o" when the stranger told her they were his casual clothes, she was not one to judge when it came to fashion as she was a follower of the many trends that came just as fast as they left. She shook her head at him as she looked at the other's pants "No, she's absolutely right, you look nice," The accent caught Neta's attention again, she wanted to say he sounded a bit like a pirate but she thought that would be rude. "Where are you from? Sorry, your accent is nice, I don't think I heard anyone around here with one like your's," maybe he would give her name as well, or at least she hoped, even if he did Neta had her doubts that she actually knew him. Not only was it the accent but the way he talked, it wasn't normal, to her it was almost like he was trying to learn the language. "Actually, would you like to join the rest of my walk? You don't have to if you're too busy," as strange as the encounter was, Neta was getting more and more interested in the other by the more small talk they had. She had no plans of her own after this so she might as well enjoyed the randomness of it all.

@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ Aidan took notice of the surprise he caused the young lass, quite disappointed in himself for possibly breaking another rule of the modern era. “Chilly, yes, although, let’s say it could be worse,” Aidan chuckled sheepishly to himself, surprised by his own emotion as such. He knew all about ‘being chilly’ and literally freezing. Meeting the lady’s gaze he pondered the thought of what she meant by a play? Did she mean theatrical? He looked down at how he was clad, an expression of ‘I don’t see why you say that’ took over his features. “Nay,” he said with accent. “This is me proper clothing,” he said with an unsure tone, never before being confronted by anyone about his fashion choices. He did stand out, of course, but his observance had given him a view that nowadays people dress weirder than he does. “Ah, might be the ‘black denim jeans’,” he uttered, emphasizing the words that he had learnt by heart to sound more modern, in a poor attempt to come across as if he knew what it all meant, while pulling at the rough fabric fitted against his thigh. He thought it was the oddity. “The missus said that these go with everything? I suppose not,” he chuckled deeply again, worried about his sudden outburst of unknown actions of unknown origins. As if the tingling sensation that was radiating from the lady weren’t strange enough, it affected him greatly in ways unimaginable. As if a déjà-vu ran across his body in electrical pulses, yet he didn’t have the exact sensation in his head, the sensation of recalling that ever happening before. Yet, he still felt that the presence of the young lady made him almost reminisce about something. But what exactly? By this time, he has been looking sideways at the lady, deep in thought if he was going mad or this whole ordeal was meaning something deeper than he comprehended.

@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Neta combed her fingers through her hair trying to get out whatever wilted flowers, petals, and stems that were left in her hair from the flower crowns the children made for her at the school she left before taking short walk through the park. As much fun as it was hanging out with the little girls from her after school program, Neta always went overbroad when it came to pleasing the kids, and this time she became a life-sized dress up doll. They decided to let her be the model of their flower crowns so she could choose which one was the best one, but everyone ended up winning. Now she was on her daily walk through the park, before her fiance died they always walked through the park before going home, no matter how late it was. If they were early and the weather started to warm up, the two always used to grab a cone of ice cream from the ice cream truck that resided at the other entrance of the park, the memory made Neta smile as spring was starting to show itself. "Jesus!" Neta whispered loudly to herself when she suddenly heard a man's voice boom behind her, she turned to him her smile kind but unsure as to who the man was. "Yeah, it is quite a beautiful day, if only it wasn't so chilly." She made a shuddering gesture as she rubbed her arms with her hands, she couldn't help but notice the accent he had but she couldn't pinpoint where he could have come from other than he was far from home. Neta peered at his face for a moment, she had an odd feeling of familiarity the longer she looked at him, he was probably from one of her events or from the app she recently downloaded. "Is there a play going on around here?" She asked amused but also interested, she looked at the other's attire up and down, he looked like he stepped out of a Disney movie. Neta felt bad she couldn't recognize the other, he didn't seem shy about coming up to her so they must have talked at one point in time.

@neta a。ˡʸᵘᵇᵒᵛ As another day begun, another cold but deceivingly sunny day begun, Aidan was, once again, advised to take a walk around town and get to know it a bit better. In spite of how difficult it was for him to comprehend many new advances in the society, he avoided the town center and opted for the more quite, more natural environment. He met a couple of morning joggers, whom he assumed to be running for the last pieces of freshly baked bread, but in a rather slow and leisurely fashion. He was still astonished by the fashion choices of those runners. Why would anyone dress in such tight trousers or even shorts in such a terrible weather? After turning to look at a young maiden, he assumed, dressed in running shorts with her thighs and legs exposed, while she wore a thick jumper on her upper body and a winter hat on her head, Aidan shook his head and continued quietly walking. His leather trench coat, scratched and worn from the old age and the buccaneer career and even the frozen state, flailed around his calves as he walked down the pavement of the park. After the ice incident, Aidan seemed to have been somewhat accustomed to the cold weather, but still prone to feel cold in lower degrees. His semi-button up, linen shirt was visible from the front, the first two buttons were popped open for comfort. His trousers were much more modern, something people called black denim jeans, Aidan would say. They were loose fitting but stuffed under the knees inside of his beloved, old pirate boots. Some time later, after walking quite the distance, he stopped to take a seat on one of the benches between the tall trees that were still yet to blossom. Aidan took a seat with his knees wide apart, something people nowadays called men-spreading and it was considered inappropriate when with company, or so Aidan was told. He leaned against the hard planks of the backrest, his one arm stretched far across the side of the top plank, while the other rested on his thigh, hanging inwards, down his inner thigh. He looked to one end of the path to the other, taking in the nice environment. He saw a few people pass by, mostly mothers with baby-carts, Aidan thought. A plenty youth, varying in the volume of their passing. Some were loud punks, chasing each other, yelling, laughing aloud or engaging in underage smoking, which came to Aidan as normal, since in his time, it was quite ordinary to find children smoking on the streets. Some, on the contrary, were quietly taking a walk, couples or girl friends with paper cups of some seemingly warm liquid, which Aidan knew were either tea or a magnificent thing called coffee. On particular, however, caught his attention. Something just fed odd while the young lass passed by. He watched her all the way from when he strangely sensed her presence up until she was almost out of sight again. The weirdness arose in the pit of his stomach, a clenched sensation that was almost painful, while his heart rate picked up. He wondered during that short time what the hell in the seven seas that feeling was, before he instinctively shot up from his seat and without any effort started jogging after her, as a person would when someone dropped something and they’d want to return it. It was quite difficult to catch up to the young lady, since Aidan had hesitated for some time to act. However he did, and a bit out of breath, he made his presence known. “What a beautiful day it is, isn’t it?” He spoke up with an accent, walking this time alongside the young girl. “There has been an urgent need fer some sunlight,” he continued, unaware how strange that would be in the modern day, while in his days, this was even considered a very polite way of picking up conversation with strangers.
hyunjin h。ᵒⁿ-ᵃ-ʰᵉˡˡᵉᵛᵃᵗᵒʳ 4 years ago
@dongmin l。ᵉᵘⁿʷᵒ.ᵒ-ᶜ "This puppy definitely needs affection and Hyunnie is more than happy to give all that he can muster up." Hyunjin acquiesced softly, hand reaching up to gently comb through his soft locks. The confession startles the human for a few brief seconds and he just stares up at him with furrowed brows and lips curved down in a frown. Though he allows himself to be tugged back into the embrace, he remains aware of the other's words and attentive to it all as the worry and anxiety only grows in his veins. Under any other circumstance, except for this one, Hyunjin probably would've made a joke about the Little Mermaid but bite his tongue. It was not the time to use humor as a way to cope. "Who.. who is this supposed love of your life? They don't love you back?" He asks carefully in a ginger tone, not wanting to upset the male any further. "Because- I mean- I know I'm just some stupid human but I will fight someone if they broke your heart, I mean it. Tell me- tell me what I can do." He was beginning to ramble at this point, panic settling on the tip of his tongue. No, not now. Not now- not when he just discovered his feelings, not now. Pulling his head back, he reaches up to cup Dongmin's - or Triton's, as he should probably address him - face in his palms. "I'm not about to just keel back and let you die- what can I do?"
dongmin l。ᵉᵘⁿʷᵒ.ᵒ-ᶜ 4 years ago
@hyunjin h。ᵒⁿ-ᵃ-ʰᵉˡˡᵉᵛᵃᵗᵒʳ The older man scrunched his nose, unaccustomed to being benamed as 'endearing' or 'puppy' although he didn't mind being called so. "This puppy needs affection, Hyunnie. " Dongmin spoke softly, audible enough only for his companion to hear. His stiffened constitution relaxed gradually melting into the hug, the warmth generated in his chest slowly spreading as he inhaled deeply. "I am scared too, Hyunjin." He confessed in a quiet voice, pulling the male back into his chest stubbornly. "I wasn't born as a human nor with the name, 'Dongmin'. My real name is Triton and my home lies in the depths of the ocean. I just moronically sacrificed my tail and my powers in exchange for a pair of feet so I could be with the love of my life forever. But with the condition that I could only survive if that person loved me back, otherwise my heart is going to harden and I'll just die, eventually. That is why I have been so sick these days, my heart stops beating at random times. "
hyunjin h。ᵒⁿ-ᵃ-ʰᵉˡˡᵉᵛᵃᵗᵒʳ 4 years ago
@dongmin l。ᵉᵘⁿʷᵒ.ᵒ-ᶜ "That's actually kind of endearing," Hyunjin muses softly. "You kind of remind me of a puppy, Dongmin, you know that?" The corners of his lips curve down in a small frown as worry curls in the pit of his stomach. He doesn't know what's going on but he can feel it. In the air, around them - he can feel it. It takes him a moment to process those shaky words and the fear leaking behind them but when he's able to, Hyunjin pulls his head back to look up at him with nothing but worry in his hazel eyes. "Dongmin, what are you saying? What's wrong?" The anxiety was creeping up but he was trying to push it back as he reaches up to gently place his hand on the side of Dongmin's throat, fingers brushing against his pulse point gingerly. "Your heart- yeah, it's.. i-it's still beating. It appears to be beating steadily--Dongmin, what's going on? You're beginning to scare me.."
