Beauties and Beasts explained
Put simply, beauties and beasts are humans and demons, humans being the beauties and demons being the beasts.
Just as a sidenote, we do not allow halflings and the like. You're either a demon, or a human.
Why are they called beauties and beasts? This will be covered more in the next section, but basically it's similar to the Beauty and the Beast movie/story.
Contracts and Bonds explained
For centuries, humans and demons alike roamed the earth, and for centuries humans and demons would work together, at a price of course, but they work together nonetheless. In this rp, contracts will either be temporary or permanent. Below is how both processes work.
For temporary contracts, a beauty will need to do the following things:
— Summon the Beast (normally done by drawing a pentagram, spilling your blood on it, and calling upon the beast by their name)
— Discuss the contract and its terms, negotiating prices of services and such if needed, then sign in blood.
— Give their Beast a new name, one that only the beauty shall address them as.
— Give their Beast a trinket (something like a necklace, bracelet, or ring marking that they belong to the beauty).
Once that is done, Beauties and Beasts can begin their temporary contract. They can be anywhere from one week to one month, depending on the service.
For permanent contracts, the process is pretty much the same, but here are the differences:
— In place of the trinket, Beauties and Beasts will be given tattoos that mark that they belong to one another. The placement of the tattoo is up to the individual.
— Instead of writing up a contract and signing in blood, their contract will be the Beauty's favorite flower (or just a flower they choose) in the favorite color of the Beast (ex: blue rose, burgundy magnolia, etc).
— This flower is a magical flower that will be the contract in physical form. All the Beauty and Beast have to do is guard or protect it to keep their contract valid and in tact.
— Should the bond between the Beauty and Beast weaken, the flower will wilt and the contract will gradually nullify; likewise, should the flower be destroyed by another Beast, the contract will be nullified.
Do keep in mind that if you are a Beauty, you are only allowed to be bonded to one Beast at a time, and vice versa.
Contract Warning
Once you form a contract, you are not allowed to stray too far from your Beauty or Beast. After 6 hours separated/away from a Beast, a Beauty's body will experience things like nausea, dry eyes, headaches, etc and their condition will steadily worsen. Once they've gone a day without their Beast, they will die.
