@⭑ ˢ byun baekhyun [ my reply's gonna seem so casual next to your elegant one alsjfalfsd wow orz ]

He's inching down the seconds, fingers laced behind his back in hopes that--- perhaps --- this meeting slipped the elder's mind. Better yet, perhaps Baekhyun had come to his senses and given up on him. After all, he certainly wouldn't be the first to resort to such. Taehyung's hex is surly enough as it is, but the damage his secondary ability has done to his psyche has been the bane of his Emotional Management professor since the beginning. He's sure the other is all too used to seeing students like himself, so guarded after being reared in a world where their kind is forced to thrive in the shadows. But Taehyung finds his case particularly... unbearable.

He startles violently at the voice that wafts from behind, nearly dropping his phone as he pistons on heel and--- "." He meets his professor with a roll of his eyes, shoulders sagging immediately as he truly had pinned every bit of his hope on this whole meeting simply not happening. Despite being the one to set this up in the first place, he knew he'd never rest until he at least made an attempt for his plummeting grade. "I mean, yeah. Yes, sir, I did."

His steps are languid as he approaches Baekhyun, the hint of a grin meandering to his lips at the sight of the smaller male. But he does his best to keep his amusement at bay. "You know as well as I do that I'm at your class. Always have been, really. Figured before I flunk out, we try something new." He's never been one to perform particularly well under one-on-one instruction, but a course like this calls for personalization. Consideration upon the pupil's experiences, temperament, state of mind... All of which seem to be either jaded or chaotic in the younger male's sense.

Reality settles a little too heavily for his liking, so the boy finds himself resorting to the only out he's ever known--- evasion. The smirk that lilts his upon his lips also lifts a single obsidian brow, eyes searing with mischief. "And, I dunno, perhaps I thought we could consider this a 'date' in the making?"

@⭑ ᴴ kim namjoon (Gee, you reply is absolutely beautiful ;;; I respect you so much as a writer, like...that was amazing with the way it went into a little of Namjoon's backstory... I apologize if my replies aren't like that >N<)

Tiffany's pure grin appeared on face upon seeing and hearing her friend speak once again to her. He was so calming, his voice like the low rumble of a tidal wave build up, pushing against moss covered rocks before the gentle crash. She wordlessly stepped to her left, so her shadow could covered her friends tall figure, as she had spotted his long hand cupping near his forehead to protect from the strain the sun set in his eyes while facing her. "Haha, 7 isn't so bad. You don't have to break your record though to make me feel better," she tossed him a teasing smile, tilting her head to the side and letting her long hair shift to shade her cheeks.

"Hmm," Tiffany thought about it, her eyes breaking contact to observe the damp green and brown steps that creaked against the lakehouse, her mind roaming as to deside what type of training would be best for today. She became aware of her skeleton, listening in completely to what her muscles and bones had to speak about the way she was caring for herself. Her upper back felt strong, her biceps and triceps a little tight, but that was natural from her classes and paper work, holding her arms often in a single position for periods of time. Her legs didn't feel very sore either. There was a ache in her middle, but that was from statically sitting for hours. With this, she had determined a little challenge would suit her condition.

"Baseball as water sounds fine," she looked out to make sure the end of the lake were far enough apart for her desire. Definitely a stretch if she could keep her focus on her target long range. But the pair had been practicing for a few weeks on this lake, so her nerves weren't as erratic as the first time her friend requested the full length. "Can we try waves too?" she turned her attention back to her teacher, slightly nervous to his response as he practically knew her limits, with his nurmous years of experience in elemental abilites. Besides the personal combatability and the supernaturally correlating gifts, Namjoon was very tatic-oriented as Tiffany gathered, and knew how to push her buttons without completely draining her. He was the reason she didn't feel trapped in the burden in her mental acquirement of exstream Empathy-not only because his feels often matched her and didn't feel like a separate entity nagging her skull, but also because he forced her to use only her water manipulation. The constant challenge was to match emotional attachment separate while using her elemental power, because relying on your emotion to power your power, as she knew from her job and observing her students, would fail when it all ran out.

There were benefits as a Empath to pushing the emotions she felt into the water as a regulator, since she had none and to this day remains a absorbent Empath more than a distributing Empath, but currently the pair was testing if she could force her body and mind as naturally as possible to not even connect to the entity of feeling that lived and terrorized her every waking breathe.

@⭑ ˢ tiffany young nature. being born in nature's cove only granted him more appreciation for the lack of cities, buildings, man-made structures that hoarded areas-- not to say there was no civilization on his own town; there were, but he never had these many advancements that deemed to be futuristic in his environment. his old place were surrounded by several thousand year old rings of bark that chanted their wisdom during dusk, animals that hoarded in groups that sauntered past the trees with their languages, and wow-- can't forget the love making between the ocean's breath and the forests whispers.

but çaedius no longer existed and he will continue to act that it was an everlasting myth amongst the people. namjoon has always been from here and will be known as a man who grew his roots here... despite having a mysterious ç slashed in lime green both on his wrists, but luckily, nobody bothered to ask.

"I'm heading out to the lakehouse for training. If you need anything, I'm a phone call away!" he hollered out, a hand hooking into his pocket with his other hand hooking his watermelon er at the corner of his lips. the sun flared moderately, but enough to almost trigger the recharge the evergreen rings around his ebony irises. "a nice day, i must say." he murmured to himself before hooking his bag over his shoulder, striding off into the wings of the woods where the v-shaped flock of birds hung over him. he wore a black crewneck, a pair of black joggers, with an... all black pair of runners. simple.

being late was not namjoon's route to take. he valued time whether it was his or the others. stability could've been his middle name and even if earth was his element, astrology said earth signs like him valued stability and equilibrium. he could never deny the stars as there were individuals who believed in the 'mighty god' himself; namjoon questioned everything, but he knew some did not serve to be answers. he did know for one-- that he was a few minutes earlier than the meet up time him and tiffany assigned; in which, he had no issues with considering tiffany was never late... or at least enough for him to grow aggravater. alike water and earth, tiffany and namjoon were a complementary pair.

"hey," was all he heard before he hooked himself off the slightly chipped porch, dusting off his knees as his bag hung on the head of stand. the indents in his cheeks showed presence as he carved out a genuine smile, holding up a hand to offer a wave before quietly laughing, "hey, tiff-- and yep. i'd say... 7 minutes instead of 10 today. not so shabby, eh?" he dusted off his hands, prying his jaw off to the side as he held a hand above his eyes to guard from the sun, "should we do our usual as practice? baseball as water and i'll be the bat? instead we'll use the range of the lake?"

@ˢ kim taehyung That day could have certainly gone....better, Baekhyun thought as he removed his glasses and rubbed at his temples, expression slipping into that blank canvas he was so used to seeing in the mirror. It was funny, really, how smooth his skin was. It lacked the usual lines and depths of someone who smiled, laughed, or even got angry. He could reach out and touch each spot he knew should have a crease of wrinkles, yet there was nothing. A perfect complexion some might say, but to the empath it came at a cost. How ironic that someone so skilled in feeling with others couldn't feel on his own.

At what point did life lose purpose?

He could write entire novels on that question alone, posing more as he delved deeper into the meaning of life exactly. Paragraphs of wonder would just bleed from his brain to the paper, yet it still lacked any form of sense. It was incomprehensible. The logic wasn't sound and any critic would be able to detect that within the first few sentences.

No matter.

He breathed out a sigh of something akin to annoyance, nose twitching at the minor attempt to conjure the emotion as he gathered his belongings and checked his watch. Tapping his pen against the side of his leg in three quick movements, he found himself settled enough to leave his classroom, but it didn't stop him from locking the door in that same three step pattern, fingers twitching with that same flicker of annoyance. He really disliked being this way.

The lakehouse had been an ideal location for this sort of troubled student. Although, Baekhyun wasn't quite sure if he had chosen it for his own benefit. The breath of fresh air was enough to calm any sense of bugs crawling across his skin or electricity crackling through his veins. All phantom feelings, yet incredibly realistic for the empath. He followed the path down to the lakehouse with his briefcase clutched tight to his chest, eyes trained on the ground in front of him to make sure he couldn't lose his footing in any way. He held his breath until he found himself on more solid ground, taking a moment to collect himself before turning his attention to the student and offering a small smile.

"Hello, Mr. Kim. I hope you weren't waiting long, and you wanted to discuss a grade?"
ˢ kim taehyung 5 years ago
@⭑ ˢ byun baekhyun Taehyung's certain he'll think back on this moment--- wonder why on earth he dared to acquiesce. Why he hadn't just taken the grade for what it was, perhaps redo the course over the summer.

The sigh sits heavy in his throat, but wisps before him. A languid tow caught by the breeze that chases his dyed cerulean locks across his bandanna. He needed the extra credit and had blindly agreed-- in the sort of desperation he hadn't known himself capable of-- to do whatever it called for.

Now he finds himself, hands pitched neatly in his pockets, a boy clad in worn leather and denim frays amidst such a picturesque backdrop. Viridian grasses tangling friskily at this soles, the clouds rolling above to scatter shades across his cheekbones. The house looks worse for wear than he could've imagined... Yet there's no wonder why Baekhyun had chosen this as the rendezvous point.

"I'll give him two minutes." His mutters are nearly swallowed by the windfall, the trees around him ebbing in curious observance. Two minutes, more than enough time to change his mind.

@⭒ ᴴ jung jinsoul really, it was another one of her nightmares. the constant darkness that seemed to envelop her whenever she went to sleep was tiring, and so she finally decided to settle on just not sleeping. not the best choice, but could she really do anything different? if she slept, the nightmare would come back. the guys in her dorm would have to be sick of it by now, considering they didn't even know the full story. what was she supposed to tell them? her abusive ex haunted her dreams, and that's why she always managed to the shadows from every corner in the room to make the entire place pitch black? they'd ask more questions, questions she didn't want to answer for anyone.

except for maybe lucas, jennie mused to herself as she walked along the path that lead to the lakehouse. he didn't ever really seem to know what was going on, where he was, or anything. jennie was pulled from her thoughts for a moment when she tripped over a branch on the ground, biting down on her lip to stay silent. the one thing that about invisibility was that it only made her invisible to the human eye. she was still just as loud if she wasn't careful, and she couldn't just phase through things. god, she would have been happy if she could walk through walls. it would make her life easier. staying silent as she tripped her way down the path to the lake's edge, she sighed at the sight of burs sticking to where her legs would be if not for her invisibility. how was anyone supposed to be stealthy in the woods when they were full of sticky and pokey weeds?

phasing back into visibility, jennie plopped down on the dirt. she was sure she was alone at first, thinking no one would be out this late at night, as she reached to pluck each little bur from her pants, hissing from the pain as the little needles poked at her skin. she brushed off any extra needles, grumbling about them while wiping her hands on her sweater. when jennie looked up to look over the lake, she noticed a few more ripples on the water's surface, and she looked over the scene before her. it was only then that she noticed the other girl. suddenly, jennie felt uneasy. what if she got caught, and got in trouble for being out of her dorm late at night. perhaps it was her panic that caused her to go invisible right then and there, but she did it anyway, gone from sight in the blink of an eye and hoping with all her might that whoever was over there hadn't actually noticed her.

@ˢ jennie kim At the time of Jennie's arrival, Jinsoul was ly wading through the water on the other side of the lake while calmly chasing down an unsuspecting potential victim who had run away from her before she had the chance to capture them. Her steps are soft and slow, ever so patient as she drags herself through the liquid and onto the shore above the prey held in place by her grip. In contrast to her usual friendly and lively demeanor, she was rather calm and collected... cold even. Dark brown eyes that normally carried a certain brightness and pep had been colored in a rusty, glowing red and were void of anything but pure concentration. The various smiles she normally wore on her face were erased and replaced with something that almost felt like a frown. The somewhat adorable horns atop her head, usually small and dull in brightness, had grown and shined almost as much as her eyes beneath the moon's lovely light.

Her bare feet finally make contact with the ground, and immediately she picks up her prey with a flick of a finger, dragging him closer and stepping directly in front of him. A glimpse of her own reflection in his eyes makes her falter for a moment, brings her to sympathetically take his face in her hands and wipe away some of the tears on his face. A few tears even started welling up in her own lashes as well because she knew this would happen and she was tired of doing it... but then the nails of her thumbs deeply sink into his cheeks... then his warm blood starts to trickle down her fingers and seep into her skin just as fast as it leaves. The oncoming tears once glossing over her eyes get back with an accompanying twitch and she forces her thumbs deeper into his skin to make the drain easier for both of them, and until his very last drop was bled, until his skin had lost all color and life, she held him there in her hands.

Him saying she wears "ugly underwear" was unfortunately the very last thing he'd ever say to her before their game of chase began, and if she had known that would be the case in advance, she'd have kept him talking. She knew either way she'd win the game, she also knew he wanted this, but his death just didn't feel right... With a soft sigh, she hugs the hollow and shriveled remains of him to her chest for a solid fifteen seconds and promptly drops them to the ground. "Should have clawed out his nuts and drained him dry straight from his tiny ," she mumbles, mainly out of annoyance despite her tone being heavily laced with disappointment. But just as quickly as she let him go, does she turn around and of the remaining blood from her hands. Her horns start to shrink and her eyes gradually revert back to their usual color, glancing across the lake while she on one of her thumbs and freezing in place when she spots what looks like a person in the distance. "Oh..."

@⭒ ᴴ jung jinsoul stupid burs - /she would have been invisible, if not for the pokey brambles that stuck to her clothes as she walked through the woods leading toward the lakehouse; it was late, too late for her to be out, but as she became visible to the human eye and came to sit down in the grass, she grumbled as she picked off the sticky plant from her pants/ god, i just wish i could phase through things. make sure i wouldn't get caught all the time.

@⭑ ᴴ kim namjoon Tiffany was in a really good mood, to say the least, as she made her way swiftly down to the lakehouse from her class room. The scent of pine and damp ground stung her nose in a pleasant way. She ran her hands along tree's sternum's surrounding her, swinging herself sometimes on them as she made her way along the route to her destination. If you'd spotted this girl, in her happy place that she's in currently, you probably wouldn't think she was Tiffany Young. For the most part, Tiffany is pretty collected and calm, introverted and independent, but she does have this bright, happy side that can only come out when she can get away from the people, away from the turmoil, and just be present in nature and grateful for being alive to breathe in the life around her.

Daily, Tiffany went to the lake house now, as there she would meet up with her co-worker and friend Namjoon. He was a Biology teacher who had a variety of abilities like Tiffany, and they actually met up at the Lakehouse originally. They got to talking about plants, exchanging ideas and joys about being in nature, and then from there daily meet to help out the plants around campus and keep them healthy, while also whenever both her and his schedules are clear enough, train together. It was her idea, as she is not very in sync with any of her abilities, but knows it will only make it easier if she was, and he agreed. So currently, they were just going to meet up to talk and train together, like any other Tuseday.

The brown haired girl finally made it down the hillish part of the journey, and not long after that spotted the lakehouse. She grinned and walked a little faster, checking the time to make sure she wasn't late. 'I'm gonna be right on time' Meditation class went a little longer that originally planned, but it was a very good session. She still carried her gym back across her body, it bouncing on her hip as she moved with all her day clothes in it. She currently wore workout leggings, a light blue long sleeve and sneakers.

A couple minutes later, and she was in front of the lakehouse, immidietly spotting Namjoon on the porch. She waved at him as she approached. "Hey," she greeted as she put her bag down on the poach. "Hear 10 minutes early, like usual?" she gave him a warm smile. Namjoon was a very organized person, so he always seemed to arrive on his "ontime", which was a little early.
