@△ wong yukhei ᶠᵒˣ ᵏᶦⁿᵍ Despite hearing her husband calling out to her, Yuqi remained stoic in her position, opting to turn her head the other direction instead. On usual days, she would've given in and forgiven him but not this time, she was genuinely and truly upset this time around so she wasn't going to give in, nope, not happening despite her heart already beginning to crumble and shake, a sliver of guilt crossing her but she chooses to ignore it.

A flash of flesh zoomed by the corner of her eyes but figuring it was just a trick of her mind, she shrugged it off with the excuse of it being one of the servants running about to tend to their home. It was only when she found arms being wrapped around her that she finally reacts, an expression of shock crossing her mind as she almost attacks the figure with her fan, knowing she'd give the person proper injuries for days on end but fortunately for him, and honestly her heart, she'd stopped just in time for her to realise it was Yukhei that had trapped her in his embrace.

"You do realize I could've severely injured you, right?" Her eyebrows furrowed, finally looking at the man. Once again, she'd opted to ignore his question but then, the fact that she was finally setting her gaze on him was probably enough answer to his question. There was no need to verbally answer a question when she was already doing the very thing being questioned.That wasn't the only thing she'd chosen to properly ignore this time. She'd noticed that the other fox was.. clothed in his birthday suit but she'd averted her eyes, feeling a blush creep up her cheeks. 'Stop it,' she'd mentally told herself, reminding herself that she was still very much upset at him.

Exhaling softly, she conjured up mist to cover the other's figure, trying to hide her flustered self before she reached up to flick her husband on his forehead as she rolled her eyes. "No, I don't want you to leave me alone, doofus. I just want you to stop scaring me, and maybe for you to get clothed this very instant." She muttered. "What if someone sees you like this?"

@△ song yuqi ᶠᵒˣ ᵠᵘᵉᵉⁿ "Yuqi," he calls again, this time with a sincere frown and a huff. He knows she didn't know he was doing another one of his secret swin--while-wife-isn't-looking sessions, but if he were to tell her she'd probably just continue ignoring him. No! This would give her exactly what she needed to continue doing so! And if there was one thing he liked more than swimming , it was his wife's attention! That's the one thing he wasn't willing to give up! But... even with that said, you'd think he'd sit there and think over whether it's a good idea to get out of the water and go up to her for more than 5 seconds, you'd think he'd at least consider the fact that he could have possibly used that as a bargaining chip and given it a second thought, but this was Yukhei. When does he ever let those things stop him?

Crawling out of the water very slowly and rising onto his feet, he semi-walks and semi-runs over to snatch Yuqi up and embrace her, one arm curling around her waist and squeezes her tightly to him while the other makes use of it's hand to hold her leg just above the back of her kicking knee to prevent it from... damaging his goods. Frown still on his face and soon brought to hers to peck her cheek then her lips, he sighs and softly mutters to her: "Baby... Are you not going to look at me?"

Safe to say she probably didn't want to given his appearance, but in his mind, it's nothing she hasn't seen before and making her smile again was more important than anything right now. "Do you really want me to leave you alone?" he asks, for himself yeah, but just to see if she really meant what she said and how serious this was. His pout gradually fades in favor of a worried nibble of his lower lip. What if he really messed up this time? But what if she really wanted him to say? What was he supposed to do in this situation? "I'll leave you alone, if you really want me to, but you have to tell me, okay? And tell me for how long so you don't get lonely."

@△ wong yukhei ᶠᵒˣ ᵏᶦⁿᵍ "Ugh just leave me alone before I hang you up by your tail, you doofus." was the last thing Yuqi had said to Yukhei before she'd stormed out of their cave, the ribbons of her robe fluttering behind her as she walked, angrily tapping her opened paper fan against herself. Her destination? The same stone table under the straw pavilion by the lake.

As always, it was her go-to when she knew she needed to calm down.

"I swear, one day, he's actually going to die and I'd think he was just pranking me." She'd muttered to herself. Despite her annoyance towards him, deep down, she knew she was annoyed AND mad at him because of how much she cared for the male fox and it annoyed her even more. What annoyed her most though was the things she'd said to him whilst she was annoyed, her last sentence being the very thing that she regretted the most. What if that somehow ended up being the last thing she said?

Yuqi let out a sigh, so deep in thought that she hadn't realised another presence close to her. That is, until she felt a hard object knock her on her head, her hand instinctively reaching up to rub her head as she looked at the direction of the perpetrator to see her husband, his lips formed into his pout that she knew was her biggest weakness. She pressed her lips into a thin line as she turned away, her hand lowering down to rest on the table, her last three fingers tapping on the stone table as she tried her best to ignore the man. She wasn't going to go soft on him, not today.

@△ song yuqi ᶠᵒˣ ᵠᵘᵉᵉⁿ Sitting at the very bottom of the lake is the fox king, arms crossed and bubbles blowing up with a grumpy huff he exhales. Why is he underwater? He and his loving and lovely wife, Queen Yuqi, had just been arguing a few minutes ago, two to be precise. To him, he assumed she just happened to be out looking for a place to clear her head and get away from her Queenly Duties, and he hides from her at first to allow her that space, though he knows he could be wrong. Of course, being that his only way of really doing that was to sink underwater until he couldn't breathe, but he ended up scaring her when he came up for air. Now he's purely underwater out of defiance and frustration because he can never tell when she needs me time and when she needs me time that could also be we time. While down there though, he realizes he's probably just being an idiot and needs to grow up, so he swims back to the surface and stares at Yuqi a moment. "Lovely wife..." he calls in a mumble, averting his gaze and swimming a little closer to shore to toss the pearl at her head and allow her a chance to see his pout. "I'm sorry."
