@ˢ⁰⁴ ; xu minghao the trepidation; jongin noticed the wary glances cast his way by the young male. while he was disdained by a few individuals, he was quite popular amongst his peers. they sat close to him; there were those wanted to be in his inner circle, others that were infatuated, and those that wanted to be with him. unlike the others, minghao always sat at the edge of the room. he assumed that minghao was a shy individual. he was always taught to never underestimate those that were silent. while most were open books, minghao’s secrecy made him intriguing to jongin.

just as he had good relations with students, he was a favorite of the teachers. he used his influence to have himself paired with minghao. after the first practice, it was just small talk, but with each class he made more of an effort to get closer to the other. to the dismay of his admirers, he sat next minghao during every class. they would scowl when he would only briefly respond to them and then turn to his partner for his opinion.

each sparing session told him more about minghao abilities. artistry was his weapon. according to rumors, jongin has also discovered that the other was the runt of the litter. that sparked his interest even farther; if minghao was the weakest, he could only imagine the power that coursed through his siblings.

he rose when his name was called and he took the defense role as directed. minghao executed the techniques almost perfectly; like his mind was tuned to the moves but his awkward body would not obey. due to his lack of a physical ability, jongin was an expert in hand to hand combat; more skilled than anyone on his plant. it wasn’t difficult for him to dodge minghao’s somewhat messy moves.

the other did finally land a kick though, knocking him back on his bottom when his hands and feet became a brilliant viridescent. jongin blinked in surprise at the alien hue of his hands and celerity with which the other suddenly moved.

+

“so what was that? your hands they turned green and it seems liked it made you faster—“ the male stated as he closed his notebook and slipped it into his backpack, “do you have class after this? we should go grab something to eat together—“ he was prying for more information and insight into the other’s abilities.

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji was the batch bellow his always this disrespectful, or was it just her?

either way, a stiff smile made its way to changgu's face as he took in her words, tilting his head in response. ah, this is what he hated about heroes, especially ones like her – did they think they were /saving/ people with this kind of attitude? did they plan to protect others when they couldn't even give the people they were supposed to save a decent amount of respect? what did this girl even get by having such an attitude? truly, changgu despised this, despised heroes and all the pedestals they were put on – maybe he'd even go so far as to say he despised this girl, when he barely even knew her.

but he wasn't going to just insult this girl the same way she did him, no – he was better than that, and he was going to prove it. "beat my ? when you can't even listen to simple instructions?" he scoffed, shaking his head in disdain. she probably wouldn't be anywhere near as arrogant once he defeated her in a simple spar. "we'll see about that, hwang." tugging his sparring gloves from his pockets, he easily slid them on, stepping a foot back and lifting his hands up to shield his face in a basic stance. he was going to make this girl shut up – how could anyone stand an attitude like that?

"first to fall loses. no head or crotch shots," he called. usually, he'd call for the more basic spars when it came to fighting underclassmen – but he was sure yeji could handle this much. she should be able to if she had that arrogant attitude, shouldn't she? "well, whenever you're ready then, you brainless ape."

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji “E-eh?” This simple sound, almost in a squeak was all that had managed to leave the petite heroine’s flush lips. Had Yeji just shut down her friendly gestured and called her, what was it now, ah yes, ‘round face’? Shiah retracted her hand, but only to unconsciously cup her cheeks as her brows furrowed almost comically but in confusion none the less. ‘Round face’? Were her cheeks really that full and plump? What If they made her look childish, goodness just what the heck was she thinking.

Yes. Hwang Yeji had indeed shut down her friendly attempt, and had been quite ungracious about it as well. But Shiah wasn’t someone to fully judge another on first impressions even if they were rather important. Perhaps, just perhaps the heroine wasn’t having a good day and that was perfectly understandable as to why her mood seemed so very…sour.

“Ah! Right, s-sorry you’re right now isn’t the time to get all buddy-buddy eh, after all we have a mission to complete which I’m sure we’ll do great in haha….” Shiah’s laughter faded, almost awkwardly and unintended like a bad scene in a sitcom comedy. She could feel Yeji’s gaze piercing through her very being and well as they saying went, ‘if looks could kill’, then Shiah would be dead right where she stood. It hadn’t been the petite girl’s intention to irritate her peer but it seemed she had just done so.

“But isn’t attacking first a little too…careless right from the start? I think the traps would be great though, if we could set a few and then get started on reaching the ending line with out rocket intact, don’t you think?” Her fingers fidgeted nervously as she spoke, trying her best to keep her voice steady and clear. “Back to us as a team— we should talk about our abilities and our strengths and weaknesses before we begin or we might be in….well let’s just say in an awful lot of trouble if we don’t.” And by ‘we’, Shiah meant Yeji. If there came a time during this training drill where Yeji didn’t comply with Shiah’s request prior to the wish granting, Yeji could end up….No. To fathom such a horrible thought, Shiah couldn’t even bring herself to do it. She didn’t really know Hwang Yeji, but she was a student just like her, someone with dreams of becoming a hero just like her and that was enough to worry Shiah should anything happen to Yeji. She couldn’t help but to treasure Yeji’s life and safety above everything else in this drill. With Shiah’s ability involved, things could go array in the wrong direction very, very quickly. Just a few words were more than enough to ensure chaos and the loss of a life, and that was something Shiah would not risk. Not now, not ever.

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji even if yeji refuses his desperation, he'll still pester her about it the next day. he waits with anticipation, absolutely eager for the female to take him under her wing. he knows that she won't go easy on him, especially with the fact that he constantly annoyed her for several years, but yugyeom doesn't know that. with all of his might, he believes yeji is his best friend, and she also shares the same feelings (of course, she doesn't). "yes, my mentor!" he repeats once more and claps again to spark another.

he juts his bottom lip, and his eyebrows furrow with slight gloom. "dunce face isn't very kind either—i guess discount pikachu sounds much better," he comments, except he drags his words so there is the appearance of sadness in between. after hearing her acceptance, he nearly jumps in excitement. "wait? really? oh gosh, yeji! you're fantastic!" the male almost gives her a hug, but he knows that she'll harshly smack him if he attempts. he keeps his needs away and nods with obedience. "yes, i'll do that! don't worry, i won't disappoint you."

with 'limitation' on time, yugyeom dashes off to the locker room for preparation. he quickly opens his assigned locker where his suitable clothes are resting on top of the metal. he switches clothing in an instance, then he locks his storage before wobbling out with excitement.

@ʲ⁰³ ; kim yerim Unblinking with her lips pressed into a thin line, Mina concentrates on comprehending what Yerim had explained about “extensions”. It was rather amusing how simple things would confuse Mina a lot while understanding such elaborate and complicated concepts were easy for her. She nodded along her partner’s words – reassuring that everything she said made sense. As if her switch was , Mina spoke without pause, “I understand what you mean – although for now such parts are left in my dorm because I did not see the need for me to bring them here as most of these classes only require minimum effort from me.”

Although most of the time, there is struggle in her tone when it concerns her sudden thoughts or mundane feelings this seems to be replaced with eloquence when she speaks of her capabilities. As the other girl prompted for them to give such action a shot, she quickly nods her head before opening the circular vent of her arm slot, waiting for Yerim to transform into something fitting.
ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji [A] 4 years ago
@ˢ⁰⁴ ; kim yugyeom well, yeji wasn't surprised to hear his answer, though she couldn't help the slight raise of her eyebrow. this wouldn't be the first time the other had asked her to teach him stuff as well, but when she was younger, she had more or less refused to do so. she was competitive — still very much so, up to this day — and she loathed the idea of having someone on a higher level than she was, but she realized that she liked the feeling of defeating someone when the both of them were on equal terms. while there weren't many that were brave enough to ask for her aid in things such as this, she at least, had a higher chance of saying yes compared to when she was younger. "your mentor, huh," she repeated, and she had to think that through — did she want to be bothered by such a man on the daily basis, more than necessary?

although... she had to say, that wouldn't be much different from their daily lives already.

she blinked, before she looked up at the clock, high up in the walls, safely protected by bars. there weren't much time right then, she realized, and she turned back to the lad. "when the did i ever do nice? would you want dunce face, then?" she snapped, almost out of reflex, not even bothering to cut down on the sharpness of his tone. "lucky for you, i have one last class for today." the last one was study hall, but she could just escape that to do other things. "wait for me here once you're done. change into proper clothing, yeah?" she said, and she took her bag upon her shoulder, preparing to change after the sparring. "if you're not here after five minutes of my arrival, then i'm dipping on you. understood?"
ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji [A] 4 years ago
@ˢ⁰² ; yoo shiah Yeji thought that the test itself was simple enough. When she'd first heard about their class having a sort of test that day, she already had an inkling on what it was going to be about. After all, there weren't too many tests that could test a hero's capability. She was well-aware that the academy was only there to prepare them for what's about to come in their future careers, but of course, nothing beat personal experience. That was something that she had as advantage among the other students, what with her parents being professionals and looked up by a lot of younger heroes, which would have allowed her to come with them if her parents wanted her to come. It wasn't fair, and she knew that on countless of times, she was unprepared, but she would take what she could — being afraid of the unknown was something that she didn't need when she wanted to become the top hero.

But the defensive team, huh. Her eyes narrowed slightly. It just so happened that she had to be partnered up with someone from a group that her parents were already interested in. What kind of dumb luck, she thought to herself, fighting the urge to snicker when she saw the smaller girl approach her. This was a face she wasn't familiar with, and the only reason why she knew the other's name was because her own parents mentioned Shiah's name too many times for Yeji's liking. Nevertheless, what she did know for certain that Shiah's ability wasn't exactly... what one would consider strong,

Wish granting. A strong ability, but not on its own, and definitely not on the battlefield. It was something more suited to the behind the scenes, something that Yeji would never accept to happen to her, because to be the top hero, she needed to be the very best, undefeatable and ing perfect. She took in a deep breath, before she faced the other fully, arms still crossed by her chest as she tilted her head to the side, visage not even bordering the friendly side. Her eyes fell down to the other's hand, but she didn't reach out to hold it. "Shut it, Round Face," she said rather harshly. "I'm not here to make friends — we don't need that to ing win this ," she added, before she turned back to the very object the two of them were supposed to protect.

"Strategy?" There were countless of strategies that Yeji could go through, but none of them would be possible with the other's ability. It was weak, weak in this fight, and she wondered how Shiah was going to fight that. "We're going to attack them first, of course — maybe set up some ing traps somewhere too. We just have to make sure they don't touch this, yeah?" Her lips curled up into a nasty smirk. "That would be pretty ing easy."

@ˢ⁰⁴ ; kim jongin An anamnesis: they were fifteen, on top of the hill; to which the flights of their backdoor stairway led – shades of crimson and plum dappled on their skin. Breathing heavily, they laid their backs on the damp grass; and once they caught the gaze of each other, they laughed – making comments about how worn out they look, thinking about how would they explain such happening to their mother. Such brawls never had actual winners but neither surrender; they almost always just concluded each with laughter and in jest. Though a year later, they find themselves in conflict: the shades of crimson and plum tugged on both of them – into a vortex of darkness where they became lost.

Minghao snapped out of his daze once he got called up in front and his partner—Jongin—got called as well. The two lads have quite a few classes together but they mostly remained as strangers to one another; Minghao somehow always seating outside’s Jongin line of sight. Yet, maybe by a twist of fate, they ended up being sparring partners in their hand-to-hand combat class for the entire semester. Minghao cannot entirely pinpoint what set Jongin apart from the common bunch, but somehow he is very much wary when he is around.

This was their fifth sparring session. During the last four, Minghao was surprised that Jongin would even bother chatting him up after they were done with their lessons – to which Minghao would often respond in a slow manner, taking his time to mend his sentences as for them to not sound as if he was keen in answering such but also, not sound as if he is entirely shutting the other off. Jongin did not seem to mind and so Minghao continues with such demeanor towards the other boy. Little by little, he would often catch himself replying almost immediately to the latter’s queries.

Today’s lecture was mostly focused on defense as compared to their last session. Picking heads in toss coin, Minghao finds himself being in the offensive side for the first ten minutes as Jongin defended. He finds himself spiraling into his photographic memory – he took the chance to sketch as much as he could whenever their teacher would instruct techniques; Minghao hopes that his body would cooperate at least. It was not his asset, which is one thing he is most certain of.

After the cue, Minghao took a step forward, his hands placed on his side. He turns his hips as to create a momentum for his low kick to which Jongin had responded with a defense move. After such, the instructor halted our movements as to explain the situation – even teaching the parts where it was better to land such kicks since it would hinder the one on defense. With another cue, they continued – Minghao taking notes of where to land his kicks. He swung his fist at least thrice, remembering their past classes and trying to hit spots to which Jongin just continued to defend. They were allowed to use their powers in a very minimum amount since the aim of this class is to train them to fight even though the situation is crucial – them having no powers. Minghao mainly just hued his fists and feet green to increase their speed; the strength he lacks, he replaces with such.

@ʲ⁰³ ; myoui mina With Mina's confusion about having extensions, the young metal shifter responded with a sigh, "In case of emergency, there should be a contingency plan where everything had messed up but we still have an option. In short, I can attach with you on a blind spot so that an enemy won't notice we have other option."

That was way too deep to explain it to the doll but she shakes her head, "But since it is only for the activity, I can attach myself with you easily." Yeri added with a giddy smile plastered on her face. "Let's give it a try, shall we?"
ʲ⁰³ ; myoui mina SH 4 years ago
@ʲ⁰³ ; kim yerim Mina was somewhat skeptical about the idea that crossed her mind; never did she attach another person into her own – it almost always contaminates her synthetic bloodstream when she tries to attach anything organic into her body. This then deteriorates her consciousness, resulting to here becoming more doll-like that how she usually is: very much vulnerable to be controlled if anyone wishes to do so.

When Yerim stated that she could turn into metal, however, Mina’s doubts were somehow pushed aside. At the mention of an extension, however, Mina tilted her head, her eyes full of question, “What do you mean extensions?” Without taking much thought, Mina had unscrewed one of her hands from its slot. “Can’t I just insert you here?” She holds up the empty slot for Yerim to see – it had a circular opening and on such opening there is a circular vent that covers it when it is empty.

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji he doesn’t consider himself as a stubborn person, but he declares to be a very determined individual. yeji happens to be one of the few things that he enjoys following. not in a stalker kind of way, but in a follow-the-leader kind of way. there has been points where his traits have ruffled with her, especially with how different their perspectives are. yeji is determined in being the most powerful, meanwhile yugyeom is determined to show his best to his father. however, that’s the point where they are similar—they both want to succeed for something. their parents have high ranking titles, which holds intense expectations for both of them. they clash and collide, yet they end up at the same place.

in fact, he wonders why she befriended him. it is mostly due to their parents—the four have worked together to fight evil, especially with his father and yeji’s parents. the two eventually became close, but it appears to be one-sided. yugyeom’s naive self doesn’t mind, he believes that they’re the best of friends ever. yugyeom may be older than yeji by two years, but he feels like yeji is at upper level than he is. every student and professor knows how dangerous her powers are, in strength and ability. her skills are easily recognizable by anyone, and he can’t help but acknowledge such talent. his eyes beam every time he sees it, and he makes sure to see it.

“everything!” he shouts once again, the air with glee. “i have observed you for quite some time. you are incredibly talented! you can be... my mentor!” he simpers once more. it’s been a while since he has last worked with yeji, but it is also because of their grade difference. yugyeom happens to never see her most of the time, except on the training field. “i... believe i have one more? but i’ll make up for it, i promise—and that doesn’t sound so nice. why did you call me a discount pikachu?”
ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji [A] 4 years ago
@ˢ⁰⁴ ; kim yugyeom yeji felt smug at that, but she didn't say anything about it. she couldn't help the huff that passed through her nose, however, and the satisfied glint that accompanied the rather softer scowl on her face by then. see, yugyeom had always been there whenever yeji was in a duel or in something as small as a fight. perhaps it was because the two of them have been... what should she call it, inseparable? quite close to that, but if it weren't for yugyeom's background, she doubted her parents would let her hang out with him. the prince wouldn't have gotten close to yeji at all like he had, and she wondered if he knew that. judging from how naive he was, though, she doubted he did.

she wondered if it was better that way. it wasn't like they'd change with that knowledge or not at this point of their life. kim yugyeom seemed determined to stay in her life even if she were to push him away, anyway. he was simply stubborn like that — that was how he'd gotten this close to her, she realized as she blinked. she then took in the other's words more carefully. ah, she thought to herself. the two of them were rather similar in how they were brought up; similar, but still different in how harsh, she supposed. or perhaps the difference lied in how the two of them coped up with the hard trainings? she wouldn't know, she didn't think that mattered at this point, anyway.

"fine, since i know you won't give up even if i say no..." yeji said, and sighed, "what do you want to learn?" she asked. she could teach him combat, as well as how to control his abilities better. she might not possess the same or similar abilities as he did, but she believed she could at least give advice just to let him get a hang of it better from someone who was learning it as well. at least, she could try. "but... don't you have classes? don't you dare ing skip your classes, discount pikachu."

@ʲ⁰³ ; yeo changgu yeji honestly thought this whole mentoring session was pure bull.

what else would she learn from her upperclassmen, when she herself had been taught such things back at home? her mother was ruthless and determined with her training routine, and even when yeji was younger, she still wasn't given consideration for her smaller, more fragile self. she didn't want to be bossed around by someone just because he was ing older, and she just truly believed that she didn't need this kind of , when she'd already been learning it during class and at home. really, he was just repeating the words that she had heard countless of times before, and she thought this was completely unnecessary. a ing waste of time. the professor had reasoned the upperclassmen had more experience, but as far as yeji could see... it wasn't something that would be hard for her to catch up.

with her arms crossed by her front, her eyes flickered to the male trying to call for her attention. she clicked her tongue in obvious annoyance. "ha? why the should i waste time listening to things i've already heard of before?" she cocked her head to the side, tilting her chin up. "can't we just go straight to the ing point and just start the spar already? i'm still going to beat your either way anyway."

When the doll asked, Yeri nodded. "The only element that I can use in my transformation is metal: Both iron and steel, nothing else." She answered eagerly, "In your state, it fits pretty well on what ever weapon I will shift into." Then she put her palms on both of her sides. "I just need extensions to connect myself in your limbs." Yerim finally smiled widely at her as she has no worries about her partner getting impaled or decapitated because she's a robot doll.

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji Muffled laughter and rowdy conversations amongst the second year students filled the halls of the training facility. From what little she had heard earlier today, there was a rumor going around that the teachers were holding training exercises today for all the class years, and it was finally turn for the second years to put their skills to the test.

Shiah was clad in her uniform gym gear, her long curls styled in a low ponytail and she visibly couldn’t contain her excitement. Being that she was still discovering the limits of her abilities, how far she could go, what she could /do/ with those powers— and the painfully obvious fact that she wasn’t as experienced yet made the whole situation all the more exciting. Because now, she could finally put herself to use. Sure, to the simple minded granting wishes seemed great! But Shiah was not able to make wishes herself, on the battle field she would be better suited for support. And in order to be able to help others, she had to grow herself. She /had/ to become stronger, faster, more agile, and make her wishes more effective and appropriate to whatever situation presented itself.

It didn’t take too long for the murmurs and giggles to die down when their training teacher walked inside, carrying two large boxes with him. How curious, she wondered just what wonderful— or dangerous— things were inside those boxes, because surely, whatever it may have been the heroine to be knew they would be used in today’s exercise in some way, shape or form.

“Alright brats. We’re not doing anything too crazy today just a training drill. You’ll each be randomly paired up with one of your peers. You’ll have three minutes to talk and devise a strategy for how you want to tackle the mission, and the drill will run for a total of 10 minutes, or less if you’re competent enough to finish quickly. Simple so far? Good. Now as for your mission—“, the teacher opened up the boxes before him and, to hers and many of the student’s surprises, he pulled out a single toy(?) rocket roughly about the size of a standard night table? Now that was an odd choice for training purposes. “This is your mission. You and your partner have to protect this at all costs. If the opposing team so much as touches or destroys this you’re done for and you’ll receiving a big fat fail on this training exercise. Now that we got that out of the way I’ll designate the pairs and whether you’ll be on the defensive team protecting the rocket or offensive team trying to capture it.”

That didn’t seem /too/ difficult. No matter who her partner was, Shiah felt positive about this. Yeah, she felt /good/. If she and her partner could come up with a solid plan, one that left no little cracks for an opening and they both worked at their 200% then there was no way they wouldn’t succeed!

“Let’s have Hwang Yeji—“ even as their teacher spoke her name, the ‘oooh’s’ and ‘aahh’s’ began to rise among the students.

“—and Yoo Shiah for the defensive team. ____ and ____ you’re on the offensive team. You have three minutes with your partner and we’ll head over to where all the action’s taking place. Go.”

Hwang Yeji. Now, Shiah didn’t know too many names but Hwang Yeji’s? How could she not when the latter was the talk of the entire class. She had only caught brief glimpses of the girl in the school hallways but she had yet to actually utter a word in her direction. According to most if not everyone, Yeji was an extremely capable and crazy strong girl, gifted with powers second to none. That and the fact that she was the daughter of a notably powerful line of heroes, Shiah had no doubts that her reputation spoke for itself. She was beyond honored to have been paired with someone so strong, this could definitely reap its benefits in a training drill!

But. Yes, there was indeed a but. She had also heard that Yeji was…a little rough around the edges, mayhaps a tad…abrasive in terms of personality. Then again, those could’ve just been silly rumors, Shiah didn’t know her personally and she did not wish to approach Yeji with a negative idea! No, no that just wouldn’t do!

With a friendly smile, she sauntered towards the other, almost with a little skip in her step and extended a hand. “Yeji correct? Hello, I’m Shiah, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Let’s both do our best. S-so, anyway! Um, a strategy yes that’s what we should be focusing on right now!”

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji the spark between his palms dissipates, but the smile still shines brightly with his pearls. to anyone's perspective, both of them together is like light fighting the dark. a mix of different auras who people would never believe to combine, but somehow, yeji manages to tolerate yugyeom's vivid energy. for yugyeom, it has never been a difficult task to learn yeji's patterns. from childhood to now, yeji's traits has some twists and turns, but the blonde pushes through it. he knows that the latter wouldn't plan to hurt him in some way, but then again, the alien is the naive one.

he watches the girl's movements, her swiftly receiving the bottle beside him while his eyes still form crescents. "i know you wouldn't lose! i simply like saying that," he repeats himself again, still beaming with the same glow. the girl is an obvious stronger opponent. from what he has seen of her, she never flicks her wrist for anything. other than punching and kicking, her attacks left incredible impact, and the blonde is always there to applaud for it. he'll consider him as an /admirer/, but yeji is his best friend. he has to be there for her.

once the female mentions his training, his lips turn into a small frown. his eyebrows furrow at the thought of it. his father never exactly trained him. his family was expected to know and control everything at birth, even if they are a wee child. his siblings mastered their skills within the age of eight, meanwhile yugyeom is stuck at an academy with no chance of slight success. he is definitely better but not /that/ better. "i do pay attention, yeji! i am having slight difficulties on my tasks. my father didn't train me back home, but the professors here do amazing work!" he beams again, the frown disappearing into a smile once more. "yeji, i know that you can help me. please show me what works that you do to create such talent."

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji sometimes, changgu truly, truly hated sora academy with every fiber of his being.

sure, it was bad enough that he was surrounded by a bunch of self-righteous, holier than thou heroes in training, but as per the academy's request, he now had to be "mentoring" and "aiding" some younger brat with severe anger issues. not once had she listened to him in the few minutes he'd spent at least trying to help her learn more – too arrogant, too prideful. to her, it was probably all bull that she'd heard before, which was true in a sense – but she didn't have to be so damn obnoxious about it. this was why he hated heroes – they were always so conceited, always thinking of themselves as superior simply because they helped others.

concealing his anger with his signature smile, changgu waved a hand in front of yeji, still trying to seem polite with the girl. although he could use his powers on her, tone down that attitude of hers, he wouldn't. "um, yeah – yeji?" he called, his tone nothing short of stern as he caught her attention. "pardon my language, but if you could kindly stop being a and pay attention to what i'm saying, that would be great, thanks."

@ʲ⁰³ ; kim yerim Yerim spontaneity made Mina's lips curl into a somewhat unconscious smile which she held for a while. From the moment she transformed into a "part" till she clarified that she was actually transforming into weapons and not really parts. Of course—Mina thought to herself as she tried to put the pieces together; she only called what she had shown as a part because that is what a weapon is to Mina: something she could use to replace what she was attached to her at present.

The other girl seemed to realize what the doll's thoughts were which made her quite surprised but even more so, she smiled widely given that it was one of the few times someone actually understood what she was trying to convey. She thinks it would be rude if she would leap out of her seat and jump with joy, so she remained seated—but she was not sure for how long she could contain this feeling. It was foreign and somehow, the sudden warmth inside her made her want to explode—not literally though, but really just do a small celebratory dance of some sorts.

Listening to Yerim's recommendation, Mina blunk twice before thinking briefly but deeply. She was not sure if Yerim would be compatible with her since she has not really tried anything else than common materials which scraps she would find lying around and what her parents could provide her when she asks for them; these materials were mostly plastic, metal and the likes. Unsure of how to inquire she settled with a simple question of, "Are you metal?"

it hurt — the way discount pikachu shined with pure cheerfulness and brightness that yeji wouldn't ever be capable of doing, and she wasn't interested of ever doing such a thing. sometimes it made her want to smack the other's face out of nowhere, simply because she hadn't seen someone else with such an amount of positivity, which led her to feel rather... suspicious? no, suspicious wasn't the word — the older lad was much too stupid to plot anything deceptive. so what was it that allowed him to smile this much and this brightly? she had no idea, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to entertain such thoughts any longer.

she huffed, and she took the bottle of water that was somehow coincidentally placed near the electric prince. "of course i'll ing win. i can't lose," she uttered lowly, before she took big gulps from the bottle, the cool water trickling down in a refreshing manner. she wasn't too tired yet; that was good. that meant her stamina was still good and maintained, and at this point, she could only improve it even more. it would be better if she didn't have to rest at all, but even she knew her body's limitations and when to quit it.

she wanted to be the top, and if she wanted to be that, she had to be at her perfect condition.

once she was done drinking, she placed the bottle down on the bench again, and she turned her attention fully to the blonde. he was so excited, so cheerful and goddamn loud, but she had spent many years of tolerating the other's presence to be even annoyed by it at this point. being annoyed at such a stubborn and seemingly endless source of excitement was only a waste of time. of course, his compliments made her heart swell with pride, though she hid that behind the almost permanent scowl on her face as she placed her hands by her hips. "didn't you train back at your kingdom?" she said, raising an eyebrow. "or did you not pay attention to your combat classes? i keep on telling you to listen carefully, because you won't know when people might try and kick your ."

she tried to ignore the throb in her wrist at the mention of the lack of scratches. discount pikachu didn't need to know that she, well, might have taken a small injury. "but since you're so damn curious, i'll be willing to teach you—if and only if you don't complain, or else i'm dropping you here completely."

@ʲ⁰³ ; myoui mina As soon as Yeri became a weapon, the doll asked. Then she immediately went back to normal and looked at her, "Parts? You mean I can turn into weapons." she responded before crossing her arms. Then she gasped and snaps her fingers, "Aha! Now I get it!" Yerim smiles and looked at Mina.

She doesn't want to assume but Mina is the one she's been looking for, a meister. "I can be a part of you, just tell me where should I put myself into." Yeri smiled widely, "An arm would be fit on a blade and a gun." she added before looking at her arm.

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji [ ] NO WORRIES OMG!! YOU AREN'T BAD AT ALL AT FIGHTING SCENES!! TRUST ME

both individuals clashes and dashes while the crowd cheers them on. the ground shakes from either force, with almost ground-breaking powers and enormous hits. the blonde's eyes brighten at each attack—yeji throwing that wicked punch to the face. if it was yugyeom, he'll get knocked back immediately.

after the male waves at the other, the female recognizes his gesture. it only causes her to lose focus for a brief moment, of which yugyeom almost gasps at the close impact. his eyebrows furrow for that exact second, but his lips curl into the happiest smile when she manages to block the next attack. even though the opponent almost got a hit on her, he still waves at her again as a way of encouragement.

the fight ends to a final stop, and of course, yeji wins the battle. the crowd slowly disperses. some students cheers from the anticipation, while others growl in disappointment of either side. for yugyeom, it meant a victory. he claps loudly and emits a small spark in between his palms, the heat forming the build-up. there is slight bickering between the two, but the blonde persists on clapping for his younger friend. he recognizes that endearing scowl, and his expression grows brighter, "don't worry, yeji! i'm only here for encouragement. i knew that you would win."

his eyes form into crescents as he couldn't contain his excitement. "yeji, you have to tell me how you were able to do that—how did you beat them so fast?" he questions with glee. if it was an anime, his eyes would be sparkling. "i've honestly never beat anyone by a mile. i always end up in scratches, but you—you didn't get a single one! that's incredible!"

@ˢ⁰⁴ ; kim yugyeom [] i apoLOGIZE FOR THIS LONG REPLY KSJDLKS and please don't mirror it! i just went a bit into the duel a little bit and,,, i got kinda carried away? sorry if it too, action scenes aren't my ~ expertise ~ KSJDKJS

the field was a place that yeji would come to often. it was the only place where she could go all-out with her abilities, after all, with little risk of worrying about breaking the school rules. but of course, no matter how much she would have preferred to train on her own, there would always be people who would be brave enough to try and ask her for a duel. there was no reason for yeji to refuse, as it was another way to test her new abilities on moving targets. she had her lips and grinned in confidence then, when the upperclassman had asked for her to be their sparring partner. the rules of the spar were simple — the duel wouldn't end until one of them was unable to get up from the ground.

yeji's way of fighting, despite being a lady from a noble family with what others would refer a pretty face, was brutal and harsh. a brawl was up more her alley than what the people around her had expected from her — a slugfest. she exchanged her guns for her fists instead, blades for her legs. that didn't mean to say that she was bad at fighting with weapons, no — she'd made it her goal to be the best in everything she did; be the best, be the top in everything that she could possibly do. she was nothing if she were not perfect — she was worthless if she wasn't flawless.

there were people watching, she was vaguely aware of that as she lost herself more and more into the fight. her body moved by instinct while her mind worked on a little too many ways to beat the upperclassman — the way he moved was good, smooth and fast, but somehow lacking in its strength. she planted one foot forward, her face narrowly avoiding the other's fist by a few centimeters, and without mercy, her fist, heavier than it would have been with the force of gravity engulfing her hand, kissed the skin of the upperclassman's face, and in turn, the force threw him a good distance away from the younger girl. however, he managed to control himself mid-air, changing his position so he was sliding backwards instead.

yeji took one quick breath and leaped toward the other, reducing her gravity as she spun above the other's crouched height, bringing down one leg toward the other's head — deadly if it had hit, but it didn't as the boy was able to roll to the side, and her foot touched the ground lightly, barely managing not to destroy the area that the upperclassman had been.

"are you trying to kill me?!"

she clicked her tongue in annoyance as her kick didn't hit once more — he was fast, faster than her, and that thought annoyed yeji even more. but she supposed that was simply part of his power.

both of her feet now touching the ground, she crouched down, and the other was poised in another fighting stance as well, despite stumbling as her punch to the face must have been affecting his head right then. her own wrist throbbed a little from the force she herself had mustered, and wondered if it was because she couldn't handle the weight of gravity. they were only allowed at least 5% of their abilities, as using more than that without the supervision of teachers might have the both of them end up in the infirmary, which neither of them wanted, of course. but judging from the condition of her opponent, he would still have to visit it anyway.

she was about to lunge at her enemy when a familiar voice reached her ears, and she stopped right before her feet left the ground. sweat ran down her temples as she tilted her head a little to the side, eyes widening in slight surprise when she saw the owner of the voice. "what are you doing here—"

"where do you think you're looking at!" her reaction had come a milisecond later, and her arms moved to block the punch to her temple. when she met the upperclassman's eyes once more, her gaze darkened with a newfound determination, which had surprised her opponent briefly and given her a chance to to hold onto the other's exposed arm with one hand. with a yell, she spun to her back, lifting the male up with the help of her control on gravity, and she threw him on the ground, forcing his weight to become heavier the moment his back touched the ground.

he couldn't get up. "this is cheating!" he had hissed, but she only scowled.

"cheating my —this is well within 5% of my capabilities. blame your ing self for doing such a ty move! you shouldn't have let me touched you if you wanted to win, ." she panted quietly as she waited for their witness slash referee to finish counting to ten, and only then had she let go of the upperclassman, who had crawled away from her then. it was yet again another win — but yeji didn't feel so much for it. that was only natural. that was only expected of her. nothing else didn't matter.

it was only when she had walked back to the benches that she had remembered the cause of her distraction, and she crossed her arms as she turned to face the familiar blonde. her scowl didn't leave her face. "just so you don't assume things, i didn't win because i saw you—i won because i could and i did, alright?"

@ʲ⁰³ ; kim yerim As Yerim halted her plan to pull of one of her arms, Mina responded with a slight nod before placing her hand back in her lap; shifting her full attention to her partner. She observes how she rubbed her chin and in her head, Mina is guessing what that could mean. There is really something about how most people could be so spontaneous in doing little gestures that Mina could not help but observe and admire – and sometimes, envy. And when Yerim declared that it was her time to showcase what she could do, her eyes dazzled in excitement.

The very reason Mina had begged her parents to let her in the academy is to observe other people. Sure, the lab was also kind of enjoyable to observe but the most she could pick up from her parents are their scientific knowledge. Not that it is not beneficial—after all if she knew nothing of those things, her body could have been entirely contaminated and disintegrated a long time ago. Just like every other person of her age (or so she thinks), Mina seeks for adventure: for something that will interest her more than her own interest in herself.

As Yerim got into her business, Mina were all eyes – she does not want to miss any moment at all. It was not like she needed to blink anyways, it was just something she grew accustomed to after observing that most people would blink at least one or few times in a minute. Yerim's body was morphed into a ... part? "Yerim, you can turn into parts?" She immediately questioned. There was no denying – Yerim just turned into something Mina would create as a part of her.

@ʲ⁰³ ; myoui mina Yeri was still shocked by what the doll just did. She just pulled her head out of her! Who wouldn't be surprised about that? She sighed as she put her head back on the right place and was attempting to pull her arm too, Yeri immediately replied, "No no! It's okay! You showed enough." She sighs and looked at her then rubs her chin.

"Now it's my turn." A small flash of light appears all over her body and Yeri's human figure slowly morphing into something, thinking of what weapon as her body recreate what form of it until it appeared into a long halberd with an axe on the other side. Then it suddenly drops on the floor as she was done shifting into a desired weapon.

@ʲ⁰³ ; kim yerim Yerim exclaimed but she was unsure if she got happy or not about she had showed her. Mina was able to catch her say '' – a somewhat confusing word for the doll. She often hears it when someone is running pass her in the hallways, probably late for class or when someone tripped and was in obvious pain. It was a word which context she could not fully grasp and so once again, she was confused. All she wanted was to get fun out of this activity but all she was getting was more and more things that make her grow puzzled each minute.

Putting her head back in its slot, screwing it tightly by turning her head 360°, she spoke immediately; a hint of a sour tone in her speech, "You asked me to show it to you – and there you have it. Unless you want me to show something else?" Mina wrapped her hand on her wrist, ready to pull her arm off its slot if Yerim would want to see anything else – she was waiting for a cue.

@ˢ⁰² ; hwang yeji [] this is rly long cus i was just putting in scenery awlgmwgmwggw, but you def dont have to mirror it!!

yugyeom has always enjoyed his days on earth. of course, there are a few peeves to it, but he never noticed them enough to care. the academy happened to be one of the interesting things that he had gathered. the students called themselves as heroes. yugyeom understands the concept of it; when he was young, his mother explained the idea to him. his father traveled back and forth often to save a few earthlings, sometimes yugyeom tagged along to greet the beings.

however, the academy is the most fascinating that he has discovered. every student has a special ability, and they are completely different from his. most importantly, he can see every piece of it at the training field, it is also where he jots down notes of who does what.

on this fine day, he witnesses something completely new. there is an underclassman under him: a young lady with cat-like eyes and a deadly scowl. he isn't afraid of anyone, but something is alluding about the female. though, it is mostly from the fact that he /knows/ who she is. both of them met in the past, whether it was an important meeting or a quick playdate (well, one-sided playdate). her expressions remain the same: serious and cautious.

there is a battle occurring on the field. yugyeom happens to be walking by the area. his eyes immediately light when he recognizes one of the opponents. his best friend, yeji, is performing against one of the upperclassmen. he doesn't remember who the other is, but he doesn't care enough since the female is on the field. he quickly paces his way towards the fight and sits at the nearby benches. he is in complete awe, his eyes bouncing back and forth from each attack. "oh, my best friend is on!" he cheers happily while waving his arms at his supposed ally. "yeji, yeji!"

@ʲ⁰³ ; myoui mina She is still waiting for Mina to show her powers. Yeri thinks about the Catalyst (her hero name) and Pitch Black (her sister's hero name) to be the best pair, they trained each other, Yeri being a gun or blade while Taeyeon being her temporary meister to wield her. But she needs a perfect wielder of her own weapon.

The once female superhero named Weapon Bearer has a meister and that is Hardbound, the hero who manipulate earth itself. Her mother told her how wonderful it is to have a meister, it is like a strong bond with one another. It is the power of connection.

Once the doll was going to show her her abilities, Yeri sighed. "If your ability is lame as a paper, then it's not-- OH !" she cupped as she was suprised by how Mina showed her power. She pulled off her own head! But still talking? Alive?

@ʲ⁰³ ; kim yerim With a beaming expression she rarely get to project, Mina smiles widely and claps a little for herself, "I got the right person!" She exclaimed, feeling a faint but warm feeling inside her usual hollow core. She observed how her partner looked at her from head to toe, thinking if she had put on the right parts this morning before school: head with hair, arms with hands, legs with feet—she looked human enough, she supposes. When Yerim pointed at her, she traced the path between the tip of her finger and a part of her body with her gaze. It somehow pointed to her heart: which was functioning but also, not functioning at the same time.

The doll's organs were merely accessories—she could pass as a robot if that is the more convenient way of saying what she is. Mina hated that fact because she knew how robots are: intelligent yet mindless; having no actual control of themselves. She is not some "thing" people could control as they please. She is capable of judgment and of feeling—or so she believes. Mina is still practicing: the proper way to feel with strong authenticity.

"Awesome...powers?" She repeated after Yerim. She has heard that phrase before; mostly from the people who would chat with her and ask her to be their target to test their limit. Often so, she would come home with half of her body incinerated, lacerated and sometimes even, with just, well—half of her actual body. They would always tell her how 'awesome' her power is. Although when Yerim spoke about being embarrassed she somehow felt a new feeling: envy (she thinks it's called). She wanted to somehow comfort Yeri, because that is what she mostly observed from other people—though she knows she is not capable of such.

Instead, when she was asked to showcase her powers, she flashed her a small smile. Mina thought maybe she could surprise Yerim instead of comforting her. She grew to know that some people enjoy surprises—so that is what she did: pulled her hair upward, causing her neck to pop out from its slot. Mina now has her own head in her hand.

@ʲ⁰³ ; myoui mina She sighs once again but it became hitched in the middle of her sigh as she heard that Mina is her partner. Then she spoke her name then she nodded, "Yes, I'm Yerim." She answered looking at her from head to toe again. Yeri blinks as she heard at what she answered on her question. She points at her a bit, "A doll? You?"

"I was expecting that you will have awesome powers like them or do you have like them?" she told Mina before humming, turning her head to her classmates who is doing preparation. "They just want us to embarrassed ourselves because of our quirks." she muttered before looking at her again, "So, what can you do? Show me." Yeri asked her. demanding to show her to the young metal shifter.
